  1. I think it was another thread i can't find but i was very successful in getting alcohol I purchased in Ensenada into my room right past security. Super easy to do. Let me know if anyone needs the rundown.
  2. For me it wasn't so much about the money. It's about convenience. I want drinks in my room. I have 2 small kids. So wife and I want our tequila shots and mixed drinks without having to run to a bar. And with Cheers, i cant' come back with my wifes drink. She has to get her own. So we both leave the room? Not gonna happen. That's why! Problem with this is that if they find it, and I know that's in "if", it's pretty obvious what it is. The larger containers are part of what we smuggled this last weekend. That's over 1 litter between both bottles. Because i don't have enough hands to carry all the S%@$ my wife packs. And don't forget many of us have kids we're have to chase during embarkarion, medical devices we might have to carry on board, etc. So not that easy @ilovesparky13
  3. Can any flask be truly washed out? Trust in the power of the alcohol.
  4. OK good to know. Maybe it depends on type of flask. My understanding is that they're actually more likely to go through your carry on and find something, even if xray didn't catch it. In fact, all the sellers of Disguised Flasks online specifically say to NOT take on carry on, since on checked bags they're really looking for weapons and that kind of thing and will only open your luggage if it's totally obvious. This is what I will be taking on my cruise tomorrow. Used something similar years ago. Packed in ziplock bags with my wife's other similar looking containers.
  5. You really can't smuggle too much on carry ons that wont be too obvious. I've smuggled 2 litters worth of booze in fake lotion containers and it worked. Not sure i could get those same larger containers with my carry on.
  6. Also easier to smuggle in alcohol when you check in your bags.
  7. Going to Ensenada it has the check mark but won’t let me click on it. Is that standard?
  8. So I leave on Aug 4 on a 4-day Cruise. So based on new info I know we don't need to test, right? However, VeriFLY is still telling us in the app that we need to do our testing. And Carnival just sent us this email yesterday (Monday). What gives? They just haven't updated their info? Getting worried and wondering if maybe we should just get tested today, since cruis eis 2 days out.
  9. If I see smoke or the ship is taking in any water, that's a deal breaker for me.
  10. I must try this sauce! Where can I find it? On what dish? Should I take my own tupperware to bring some home?
  11. If my girlfriend can't go, that's a deal breaker for me. Stuck on a ship with just the wife would be too much!
  12. I disagree 100%. Ladies, please disregard this post.
  13. THIS!!! On sea days, 15 drinks might not get me to dinner. And I wont even be drunk. I'm a big guy. 2-3 to get me started at lunch, and 15 will come quick over the next 4-5 hours. Of course after dinner is when I'll want to hit it hard. So I have a huge problem with the 15 rule. Not that 15 is that limit on the package, but that they won't let me purchase past that point. So anything I can get in my room will help the cause.
  14. WOW! I was expecting expensive and over priced, but this is black market prices! I will probably buy a bottle anyway. But now I feel less bad about trying to smuggle some liquor in.
  15. Thanks for this! I will definitely be trying it, especially since I plan to buy several bottles in Mexico. One will not make it home!
  16. Is it accurate that you can drink the water out of the sink in your room? If so, how is it on the Miracle? My wife drinks a LOT of water, so trying to figure that one out. She goes to bed with 24oz on her nightstand and it's gone by morning. And that continues all day long. Wondering if that water will work. Otherwise any chance they sell water by the gallon or something like that?
  17. Whoa! Is that confirmed to work? Would love some nice Mezcal to enjoy on the way back home!
  18. Wait, now I'm confused. Earlier you talked about trying to get your purchases from the store after the first leg. Can I buy a bottle of liquor and take straight to my room? If so I'll do it, even if it's over priced. (what isn't on vacations). But sounded from the chat here that if I buy alcohol it's only to take home, not to drink on the ship. Can you clarify please? I heard that that they're really looking for is weapons and that kind of thing. Of course if they find alcohol, they also confiscate. But that's not their mission. That's just so they can make more money. The stuff they sell looks pretty legit, with seals and everything. So even if they take off the cap, there would be a seal. Yeah I'm sure they've seen it all. But hoping it's not obvious enough that they'll move on looking for the next knife or gun.
