  1. What do you mean, "confused". No way. I fully understand that if I have a vaccine, I can eat chocolate ice cream in the morning while eating pizza on the gangplank watching "Pier Runners" at anytime after noon.
  2. Exactly, you thought ahead, paid a little extra for the Royal Caribbean excursion and they held the ship for you and the others. In that case I'd be walking down the pier with a smile on my face too. It happened to us in Panama, actually 2.5 hours late. I didn't rush or act/look like I was in a panic because I wasn't.
  3. I've taken a survey of every living (some not) person that has taken a cruise, is on a cruise and anyone that may take a cruise in the future. What did I find? Well, 99.04% of people that were or may be "Pier Runners" were "Pier Runners" because of their own doing. Yes, watching "Pier Runners" is probably better than any Comedy show that Royal ever produced, ever. If I ever become a "Pier Runner", please feel free to laugh as much as you want. I deserve it. I only ask that if you are taking pictures or video of me doing the "Pier Runner" tango, get my good side.
  4. Nope. You're missing the point! I don't want to carry the freak'in phone. And to be honest, I don't like the app either. But, that's just me! AND, I have been know to carry the damn thing when things are happening in life that I can't avoid. But, believe me, I don't want to.
  5. And get out your best C.C. 😁
  6. For Royal, "full vaccinated" means the 2 initial shots or one from J&J. No boosters required. Now, some countries require more but you'd have to look that up. I don't think any Caribbean islands/countries require boosters, but I haven't checked each and every one of the. Please note: A guest is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the required number of doses in their vaccine series have been fully administered (e.g. 2 shots of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, etc., or 1 shot of Johnson & Johnson). Vaccines must be approved for use by the WHO or U.S. FDA, with the exception of CanSino.
  7. On my last cruise in May on the Ovation, we were in a Star Loft and we got the Compass every evening. I never gave it a though that it had anything to do with being in a suite. But, to be honest, I didn't think anything of it and didn't ask. I only made this tread because I've read, in many media venues that Royal and others have discontinued as much paper products in cabins as possible. If I have to go to Guest Services to get one, so be it. But, I want it available (not that it matters what I want) in paper form.
  8. I don't like to carry my phone while on a cruise. I carry a camera, a real camera, not a good camera, just a real camera, one that doesn't ring when I'm in the middle of filming or taking a picture. But, I digress. About the only part of the Compass that I like to tear out and carry around is the part that gives me the operating hours of the various restaurants, shows, shops and more for that day.
  9. Is the paper Compass officially out on all Royal Caribbean ships? If not, is it like it used to be before COVID debacle? If not, is it still placed in your cabin daily? If so, can you go to Guest Relations and get one? If so, can you get a paper Compass at all? Bla bla bla
  10. Yep, don't look at the %ages they advertise or gimmick names they give the, so called, sales, they're all gimmicks. I'd just look at the final prices, period. If the final price is cheaper than the one you were looking at earlier, then consider it a sale. But, make sure it the final price. BOGO only means "Buy One Get One". Some folks assume that it means Buy One Get One Free, which is actually 50% off, maybe. Buy One Get One can mean anything and more and more it's becoming meaningless!
  11. I brought a whole live cow on board once. No problem! 😇😂😉
  12. For Cruises from North America and the Caribbean (U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, and Barbados) Vaccinated guests do not need to take a test for sailings of 9 nights or fewer. On sailings of 10 nights or longer, fully vaccinated guests age 12 and older will need to bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 test. Guests age 12 and up who are not vaccinated have three days to take a test before their cruise, regardless the duration of the cruise. Guests under the age of 12, do not need to take a test prior to cruising. Required testing can be completed using any type of PCR or antigen COVID-19 test. It can be professionally proctored at your doctor or drugstore, or it can be a test you administer to yourself at home without supervision. Tests must be arranged on your own and are at your own expense.
  13. Looks like you two are traveling to Bermuda a few days too early 🙁
  14. I hate subscriptions for Apps. But, I must say Lightroom with Photoshop and 1TB looks awfully inviting. I've literally got thousands of photos (and videos) spread out over 2 external hard drives, internal hard drive, Google Photos, Amazon Photos and One Drive. It's a mess, for sure. I need to do something about it. Lightroom won't cure my mess but I do need an editor for photos. I have Studio 25 for video editing.
  15. Print out the picture, get a razor blade, cut out what you don't want, scan it back into your computer as a JPG and there you go. Cheap! I'm kidding, of course!
  16. I'd go ahead and buy the beverage packages as soon as you feel comfortable doing so. If the price goes down, you can cancel the first purchase and re-purchase the package at a lower price, you can do that as often as you want. So, there is no downside to purchasing right away. In fact, the price today may be the lowest you find it in the future. I never hesitate purchasing anything from the "cruise planner", that I plan on doing/experiencing/enjoy. You can always cancel and get a full refund/credit, not a problem. It's too bad that Royal's ticketing/fare price isn't the same anymore.
  17. On the port's website it says that Terminal 3 (Rustbucket Cruise line, Inc.) is the only garage that accepts "SunPass", at Port Canavelal. I've had Sunpass since about ~2003 even though I haven't lived in Florida since 2005. It's just convenient to have with the many trips to FLA and it is good other places around the country, too. Anyway, those of you who live in or near the Port Canaveral AREA, do you know why Terminal 1 doesn't accept the Sunpass? Is there a plan to accept it? What info do you have, if any?
  18. LOL, to me that sound like the many many times that I've told my friends that hunt and cook venison and invite me to eat it. I don't eat venison. Each will say, "well, you haven't tried the way that I cook it". LOL, no I haven't but venison is still venison and I don't like it, don't eat it. Same with goose.
  19. Before we've actually visited Wonderland we had the melting chocolate orb dessert, can't remember the official name, delivered to our suite, a few times. We loved it. But, it's not the same as you actually get in Wonderland, it didn't have real ice cream in it, it was a substitute to keep from melting during transportation to the suite but it was really good anyway. When we finally did go to Wonderland, the orb had real ice cream in it and it was even better. In fact, all the desserts were great! Anyway, I'm not a big fan of "fufu" food and/or "fufu" service. So, I never had the desire to visit Wonderland. But, on our last cruise that had a Wonderland on it, Ovation, last May, our party voted to give it a try. I don't remember what my wife and my buddy's wife ordered. But, my buddy and I ordered the BBQ chunk of meat. Mine was actually really good but my buddy got a hooky puck size piece of FAT, and I mean FAT, 100% fat, white Jell O'ie blob of matter. He sent it back and the second try was much better, he almost just got up and walked out after the first try. I also liked the shrimp that was wrapped with a spider web type substance. Final thought: I really didn't care for the "fufu" presentation of food and "fufu" service, some may like that kind of entertainment, not my thing. Give me a server in a white shirt and black long pants speaking naturally, every time. I'm heard of hearing and a server trying to put on a fake English accent or what ever it was supposed to be, just made it even harder to understand/hear. My wife had to repeat everything for me. Between the Menu not being clear as to exactly what you are getting on your plate and the fake accented server trying to explain it, I was turned off. While I'm glad I experienced it once, I don't think I'll be back. This is my experience and my thoughts, YMMV, for sure.
  20. The last time we cruised on the Symphony, we were a party of 14, and yes, we were all in one suite, the 4 bedroom Family Suite, and we decided to eat in the MDR one night, they sat us all at one table. It was an oblong table and very comfortable for everyone.
  21. Just about every time I see posts about good or excellent Genies and/or concierges, I have to mention Marla. She was our first Genie and none have come close to her, yet. The words perfection and Marla are synonymous in my dictionary.
  22. Never said you were, don't think you are.
  23. Because of this board's policy I can't go into why I think that sign and policy is there.
