  1. On my cruise on Allure, I noticed that the Rattan (faux, I'm sure) patio furniture was damaged/frayed, and some paint, in many locations was chipped, scuffed, and/or faded. But, I had a great cruise.
  2. I guess that is what I was thinking when I said I wasn't sure. I know that there is or was a ship that didn't have it. Thanks.
  3. It is listed in the C&A benefits: I could have mentioned Priority Access to the Aquat Theater or the Ice Skating show(s) as there are only a couple of classes of ships that have 'em.
  4. Some perks are available on some ships while others don't have the capability. I believe the Coastal Kitchen, maybe one of them. I'm not sure if the Diamond Lounge is on EVERY ship either.
  5. Cube vs. block. No problem, you are probably right.
  6. My brother was General Manager for a large consortium of dealerships for over 30 years. His policy was that he accepted all colors of green U.S. dollars. C.C.s were just a different color of green. The C.C. percentage that businesses pay to accept C.C.s is a negotiated %age/discount rate. The more C.C. business you have the better your chances at a lower %age/discount rate. His dealerships didn't pay a 4% discount rate. On the other hand, if they knew that you were using a C.C. they adjusted how much of a deal you could get, of course. I will say, though, it is getting harder and harder to find a dealer that will accept a C.C. for 100% of a new car sale. But, the cost of accepting a C.C. for payment is "the cost of business". I'm guessing that there are maybe some C.C. companies that do limit the total sales on C.C.s at dealerships, now.
  7. I purchased a Honda Goldwing, 100% with a C.C., in 2008. About 17K
  8. Does it update itself with price changes in real-time? Or is it a static page?

  10. I've heard something very similar. I believe there are some mechanical and hull check-ups that are required every so often. Don't know the specifics, though.
  11. I saw her come into port the other day and she was huffing and puffing.
  12. Okay, I've said what I've said, I stand by what I've said (and posted). I'm moving on now.
  13. First: I just posted the policy, I didn't comment on it. Second: I've said many many times in this board, many times that it doesn't matter if a policy wasn't enforced yesterday, the day before that, or the day before that. Do you, not you personally, want to be the subject of that one employee that actually does his/her job? I'm fully aware that a policy doesn't mean s.... if it isn't enforced. Last: I will! EDITED IN: The link was in response to a person saying that there wasn't a policy. And apparently, there is.
  14. “if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” Yes, a tree falling causes vibrations and vibrations cause sound. Simple really!
  15. Just an FYI. Aren't there pictures of RCCL's new chair back covers stating that reserving chairs is not authorized? So, it looks like MAYBE they are doing some proactive stuff finally. AND you can't, "makes a concerted effort to post it prominently on deck, in app & in onboard announcements" for every policy. And I think, which is my opinion, it is only common decency that if you are going to be gone for an extended period of time (I believe it should be more than 30 minutes) you should give it up. Those that get out there at the crack of dawn, put a towel on the lounger, and then take an excursion or do other activities for hours are completely and totally socially unaware of anybody else other than themselves. The epitome of selfishness.
  16. This is an article dated "today". It doesn't say anything about running late for its Apr 16 cruise. I honestly don't know anything about the source or how authoritative this news source is: https://www.cruisehive.com/royal-caribbean-oasis-class-cruise-ship-enters-dry-dock/97820
  17. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/can-i-reserve-pool-deck-chairs Q Can I reserve pool deck chairs? A Pool deck chairs are only available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved. We want to ensure that all guests have a great time at the pool. If a pool chair is left unattended for more than 30 minutes with no signs of any guests returning, our crew will remove any belongings and place them in the lost and found.
  18. We do the same thing, for decades, and it has nothing to do with energy usage. We went to cold water, I don't think our washer is even hooked up to the hot water because we read articles about how hot water sets stains. However, the ship manages to remove stains using hot water. I can't explain it and don't want to, I'm a happy camper with the system.
  19. And I just thought it was the middle of the week. Silly me!
  20. Just to be clear. And this is not an attempt to change your mind. To each to their own: For example, the 4 Bedroom Family Villa (Symphony) has 4 full bathrooms (two of the bedroom sleep 4, one of which has its own full bath, and the other has to use the bathroom in the hallway. All other bedrooms are ensuites). The Star Loft (on Ovation) is a one-bedroom loft that has two huge full bathrooms, one is actually two separate rooms, a WC with a sink and the other is a sink with lav and a shower. The 2 Bedroom Aqua Theatre (Allure) has 2 full bathrooms. I, (XXX), because those are just a few examples of ships that I've actually cruised on in suites. And I've never felt cramped in, even though we've maxed out the occupancy in each suite. The only inconvenience, and I learned early, is you don't let late sleepers sleep on the pull-out bed in the living room as it can be uncomfortable to move around while people are exposed and sleeping and you try to get to the balcony or refrig, or whatever. So, my wife and I volunteer to sleep in the living room, as we get up anywhere between 5:00 - 6:00 am, sometimes earlier.
  21. Back to the topic: I never believe that a cruise and/or category is sold out until, maybe, a day or two before embarkation day. I've seen, toooooooo many times, things (cruises, categories, excursions, packages, whatever) looking as if they were sold out, just to look later and it's available again. As the old saying goes, "NEVER GIVE UP". To answer the OP's question directly, as already stated, don't worry, your cruise booking is safe unless they completely overbooked the cruise. But, I wouldn't worry about that either.
  22. I can only speak for myself and I did it once to see if it worked, see post #26, and it did. I'm a serious IT geek wannabe. Not even close to proficient, but a serious wannabe.
  23. We tend to want to do as little as possible when we get home. Kinda like want a vacation from our vacation. So, we get as much laundry done on the last possible day of the cruise as possible. That way we (My wife) don't have any NEEDED laundry that has to be done, right away. That's just us. Not trying to change how anybody else does it. To each their own.
  24. I think there is a thread in here somewhere that addressed this. If I remember correctly, the bar code with the cabin number is shown or discoverable using the app, the bar code app is just an accounting/inventory tool and is subject to change right up to the time of boarding. The guarantee is a cabin category guarantee, not an exact cabin assignment guarantee. Just my sometimes flawed memory of this subject.
