I don’t book in Canadian. I book in USD and my credit card does the exchange of the day for me. This way I get the onboard credits, (in USD), the cheaper deposits. Have never had a problem. Still, if money is a concern you can convert yourself. I also pay on the Carnival Easy Pay program that bills my credit card monthly. Greatest invention ever.

I am glad they still have these. It’s cheaper to do a load of laundry on board than to overpack and pay for checked luggage on a plane!

Hi! I am paying my cruise on the monthly payment plan booking. When I originally booked, I did NOT choose to prepay the gratuities even though I thought I had. I just went back later to manage my booking and added them after. It did change my monthly pay rate slightly, but I have the comfort of knowing they are paid ahead and I don’t have to worry about spending extra money at the end. I try to prepay as much if everything as I can so I am not left with a huge bill at the end.

I am not really sure how they figure who qualifies. I don't spend a ton either, usually up to $200 per cruise, but I can make that $200 last the whole cruise and spend some time in the casino each evening. I get many cruise offers. Just booked one that gave me $500 on board spending, most of which will be spent in the casino. LOL
