  1. I had my cruise in Dec-Jan and I was not allowed to get off the ship in Grand Turk. I had a spa day instead. The pre-cruise questionnaire that you have to fill out has health screening questions, so if you answer that you are not vaccinated and do not provide a vax cert then you will get a letter delivered prior to arriving at port informing you that you must stay on board. I enjoyed the colorful water from the spa and was actually glad to have stayed on the ship. The other ports of call were wonderful and welcoming.
  2. I love to dance, too, and I had a blast on the Eurodam in Dec-Jan! I'm 39F, admittedly much younger than the average demographic on the ship. But that didn't bother me one bit! While I frequented Billboard on Board the most to sing along with Eli and Krista (they were fantastic), I also enjoyed grooving on the dance floor to B.B. Kings in the evenings. They had excellent performers and kept the energy high. They did have earlier sets (8 or 9pm), but a lot of times the dance hits were playing past 10pm. I am an early to bed girl normally, but I did stay up later than usual during the cruise to enjoy some dancing. And if a 90 year old woman could do it every night (she was amazing!) then so could I! 😅 Annie had some line dancing lessons which were really fun. Check your daily program for meeting times and locations. Like you, I also love Latin dancing but did not find anything onboard. Don't forget to bring orange for the orange party!! Fun dancing and Dutch treats! I may have gone a bit "overboard" (thankfully not in the send-a-search-party kind of way), but it's so much fun to get into a theme!! Have loads of fun!!!
  3. The first night isn't ever a gala night. The sea days are typically gala nights. 7 day cruises have 2, and I'm not sure about 11 day cruises, but I would guess you will have 2 or 3.
  4. Following... I wondered the same thing, missholly! Conflicting information out there.
  5. When you click on your itinerary, you should see any shore excursions/tours/packages that you have booked for each day. If they do not show up, then I would call HAL. I did find this document: https://book.hollandamerica.com/pdfs/guests/edox_wynk_printfriendly.pdf This has some information about where to find your cruise documents for printing See Cruise Documents section on Page 3 (I'm not sure how current this document is, but it looks like most cruise docs should be available for you to print on your own). 6. A couple of things that I learned about the app: check your Mariner number in the app and make sure that it is the same as what you have when you log in to the website. My friend had different numbers, so HAL IT had to sync them from the back end and now it works for him. For me, somehow my booking was not tied to my Mariner number, so I could not retrieve my booking on the app. They corrected that, as well. I did have to delete the app and reinstall it for everything to finally show up. I plan to print all passes and bring them with me - I highly suggest this in case the app decides to stop working during embarkation or any other point of the sailing. I also have noticed that the Chrome browser does not work well when completing certain tasks on HAL's website. I was going through the check-in documents, and could not complete it in Chrome. I switched to Edge and had no problem.
  7. I am on a different cruise in a few months, and I've had trouble with the app locating my booking. I opened a ticket with support. I have heard that the app seems to work for half the cruisers, and not the other half. I'm wondering what the obstacles are for the half that I apparently fall into. Hope they can get it resolved. I will update here to share some insight on the problem, if they provide that info.
  8. Thanks, crewsweeper! Very good to know. 🙂
  9. Good Day, Cruisers! I have decided to rent a car for the day on GT during an upcoming cruise, and I'm wondering if any of you have information on the public parking available around the island. We plan to see the lighthouse, bird observatory, various beaches, the museum, and stop somewhere (TBD) for lunch. Is parking available in town at Cockburn, at the lighthouse, and at the bird observatory? TIA!
