  1. My experiences with TAs have been frustrating. I have had to wait for days for them to get back to me with answers so I just call the cruise line myself. Fortunately, I have not had any bad experiences. Yes, I may have to call more than once but I am comfortable calling myself and I have the time since I am retired. I see people who have had trouble with some of the reps from MSC but I have not experienced that situation. I am fortunate to have met some wonderful reps from MSC with whom I have developed great friendships. As I have said, it is an individual choice.
  2. Why should a person use a TA if you are capable of making your own plans.I prefer to have a one on one conversation instead of going through a third party. It’s just a matter of preference…to each his own.
  3. I had that happen to me. I called 3 times and could not get an explanation. Finally I told the last person that I am about to cancel if it did not get fixed. She advised me to send an email to MSc existing reservations department. I sent the email and was asked to send a copy of my original booking confirmation. I sent the copy and received an email with an apology and a new confirmation with the original price. I had not yet paid in full at that time so I went ahead and paid the balance on my original price. So now I will be on the Seaside at my original price. Sometimes you just have to stand your ground.
