  1. Has anyone unfortunately had the necessity to need to cancel a cruise do to illness and then make a claim against your credit card or Regent trip cancellation insurance. What has been your experience with either or both? Thank you
  2. We are sailing on the Vista summer 2024. We have booked 2 adjacent cabins that have a connecting door. Now that the Vista is sailing I ask anyone that will stay in a connecting cabin to describe where the connecting door is and does it require rearrangement of the furniture? Also on your cruise did they permit you to open the door between the 2 verandas. Pictures would be nice. Thank you in advance for your response.
  3. My wife and I will be traveling along with our adult daughter who will be in her own room. Our room category permits us to make dinner reservations 75 days in advance but our daughter can only do that 45 days in advance. Will we be able to add our daughter to dining table as our guest when we make our reservations even if it is more than the 45 days in advance she needs to wait for? Thanks in advance for your response.
  4. Just to clarify my dining reservation question. We are traveling with another couple and plan on dining together much of the nights. Can my wife and I reserve a table for 4 in each restaurant and ask the other couple to join us therefore leaving them the ability to still make a preboarding reservation in same restaurants on another evening or are we automatically assigned another couple to be seated with us? Both couples can make reservations at the earliest date.
  5. We are going to be on a 12 night cruise on the Splendor. We are permitted to make1 reservation in advance at each of the specialty restaurants. On a night we have a reservation would we be able in invite another couple that doesn’t have a reservation to join us?
  6. Has anyone toured a ship while it’s at its embarkation port? I have 2 reservations on the Vista in 2024 and 2025. It will embark on a number of cruises from Miami in the winter of 2023 and 24. I live in southern Florida and would love to be able to tour ship and check out the cabins so I know if I made the right cabin selections. Thanks for your responses.
  7. Does your room key gain you access to concierge lounge and spa pool? Do they check?
  8. For those that have waited and taken the flights that Regent notifies you of 75 days before the cruise, what has been your experience with what they offered? Have they been multiple stops or inconvenient times? Should I risk waiting for their proposed flights or use custom air? Currently I’ve reserved a flight on custom air with a $700pp deviation charge. I have till Monday April 3 to make final decision. Thanks in advance for your help.
  9. Any Oceania ship. We have connecting rooms on upcoming Vista. I know we don’t know how they will configure where the door is but I thought we might better have an idea by how it is done on their current ships. Somewhere I read a thread that it is behind the couch so they will remove the couch and replace with single chair so that we can access door. I don’t think I would want that.
  10. Has anyone stayed in an room with a door connecting to the adjacent cabin that can tell me where the door is located? Is it behind the couch so they need to move the couch and replace it with a smaller chair? If you have pictures that would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. It is true that the earlier you book the better the fare and the cabin you select. From my experience, even though I booked over 1 year in advance I’ve been able to take advantage of 3 promotions that Regent has since offered. Although the fares might have increased with the offer I was still able to save $7000 total off the original price using the offers. Sometimes my TA had to speak with a supervisor to get the new offer but it is certainly a good idea to check if the offers will save you money or not.
  12. Does the Splendor have a private dining room and dinner for small groups? Can you join as a couple or need to book the whole room as a group? Anybody done this? How was it and how much does it cost. Was it worth it? Does what you cook at culinary classes then become your lunch or dinner for that day? Do you stay and eat it there or bring it back to your room?
  13. The shipboard credits was from Regent on one of their recent promotions. Trying to figure out how to best use them. I didn’t see any special premium excursions that were worthwhile using them for so looking for suggestions.
  14. Recently was able to receive $1000 shipboard credit. Since everything is included on Regent does anyone have suggestions how best to use them?
  15. Did you have any problem with noise from the main dining room below you. thanks, Lenbro
  16. Booking 2 cabins on new Oceania Vista. Would prefer connecting cabins for our family. Concerned that the door between the 2 cabins will effect the furniture (ie. a chair versus a sofa). I know the Vista ship has not set sail yet so hands on experience or pictures not available but how is this been done on other Oceania ships?
