I took a Tada cane seat on airlines and a cruise without problem. It was really helpful for standing in lines or then sitting in lines. I used it for bad knee arthritis and low back pain. My husband has CHF and fatigue and can sit on it in a big box store if he needs to rest. On the airline i put it in the seat against the window with me, and I think I had room in the overhead bin once. Seattle wanted me to put it through a different scanner going through security which I did. I will say if you get this that it is fine on indoor floors or concrete, but I used it on the grass once and lost 2 feet when it sunk in. I don’t use it for balance but to rest and sit on it. I would take it again in a minute.

Thank you for the updates. Our May Rotterdam cruise next year had geiranger and stavanger changed. I am trying to decide whether to cancel. If anyone on Rotterdam could ask whether all of the Rotterdam sailings in 2024 will cancel geiranger, that would be good to know.

We could use WhatsApp on the Noordam in Alaska. We messaged and had Premium package. Did not try to call. Used our cells in port. Skagway port was the worst for wifi and cell with Verizon. Mountains come down in a V and block the signal.

Noordam in Alaska 6/25 to 7/2 I felt had good staffing levels. MDR busy at 7 pm but line not past stairs for those without reservations. 7 pm is when everyone wants to eat. Service on the ship was very good.

I had trouble last night, but could early am today.

Do you think the Westjet pilot strike if they do strike will last long and effect the June flights? i changed my flight to Vancouver to route through Seattle on Delta but not including a Westjet leg. It is better than worrying about it.

I have a flight through Toronto to vancouver. Would you go to Seattle then and take the transfer shuttle? Westjet goes direct to Vancouver. How is it as an airline?

I booked a May2024 Norway cruise without the HIA just the plain fare with the $1 deposit and in my manage my booking section, it says that I am not eligible to book the HIA. It has the different pieces to book like internet and the various drink packages. I wouldn’t book and pay for them this far out. But you should be able to buy those pieces of the package on the website. I figure that it is something about the $1 deposit and the booking code associated with it. We have an Alaska cruise this summer that has signature drink, internet, excursion, one specialty restaurant in its package from the big box store. I figure that I will see about how much we drink and what we drink to see what drink package we need or don’t need for Norway. I had been watching and thinking about the Norway cruise and the $1 deposit pushed me to book it.
