  1. Good morning Sea Day!! 47° headed to sunny 64°. Seas are smooth, doesn't seem possible that we're heading into a storm. No word onboard about potential change tomorrow, so hope those coming on will keep us updated. Fingers crossed 🤞 🙏 the storm passes and all getting on/off are able to safely do so. Sent 1 bag of laundry yesterday morning, Stewart delivered 2 bags. Sis jeans were still wet, so they're zip lining in the shower. Hopefully we'll only get charged for 1 bag. This morning is GEAH at 9:45, hungry now!!
  2. Well, I would l💙ve to take a pic of the room service menu, but haven't seen one. Only room service we can find is available on the Hub and there are fees. Here's what's showing now (it's 7:30am, so here's breakfast). I didn't snap each flavor, but did get each type of food.
  3. @rafinmd Glad you're feeling better, Roy, and decided to go. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise.
  4. Elephants 🐘 make me smile; their lifelong commitment to those who are special to them is remarkable and a quality the world needs more of. Happy to see female contributions celebrated. The quote is good. Pass on the food and drink. Not been to Japan (yet). Thank goodness the witch hunts stopped - what a horrific time that was. Shoulder is moving a bit more; I brought Therabands with me, not same as full-on PT, but they help. DH had his Echo this past week; I received a notice from Cardio they scheduled another one for next week. So, does that mean the 1st one was inconclusive or did he see something and wants to take another look? Geez, I wish I was there. DH is horrible at asking questions and worse at relaying info. Beautiful sunrise - Today is last sea day for the first leg; we're in NYC tomorrow for Turnaround Day. Pax on that leg received communication from the cruiseline to NOT go to the port until they hear from them as the weather may not allow us into port. We have not received any communication about potential delays in NYC. For those of us staying on, no big deal, but for pax getting off, they probably need to know if there's a change. Tropical Storm 16, I believe they called it. Ugh... We get towel animals on dressy nights - this is last night's. I miss the top-notch laundry service on HAL. Sis jeans came back wet; they're drying in the shower. Hope we hear back on what's causing our threads to get locked. Dressy night is alive and well represented on our ship!! Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  5. Even with Lee and all the weather that was happening on 9/16, we never received any communication from Carnival for that sail date. Of course, all went well. I remain hopeful for you guys and know we will see you soon.
  6. Gratitude & Peace sharing the same day is appropriate. I will putt putt today to celebrate Min Golf Day. I agree w/the quote. Would try the meals and pass on the drinks. Have not been to the port. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  7. I have done several B2B on HAL, including leaving from Vancouver, but I have not been to NZ, so I can't help. But I am following as I'm interested in the responses.
  8. Yep, it just works that way sometimes - baffling, for sure. I do not try to figure it out or worry what I might be missing, I just book what I believe to be a good price for me and enjoy the discounts I do receive. We've never given a casino a dime, yet have received (and booked) casino offers.
  9. Of course we're coming back to get you - wouldn't want you and Patti to miss the fun.😊
  10. Good morning, Sea Day! Beautiful 51° headed to 60°. Tomorrow's forecast has rain, so better get in some quality deck time today. I'd enjoy my pre-breakfast ☕ ☕ out there if I had any. But since I don't, guess I'll have to go get it myself. Only thing planned for today is Sea Day brunch and a trip to Guest Services to sort out a pesky OBC thing involving the canceled excursion from Halifax. And work, always the work. Internet has been adequate for working, so at least it's not frustrating like my previous work@sea experiences.
  11. https://www.sydneycapebretontaxitours.ca/upto-6hr-tours They will do shared or private tours; we did 6 hour shared. $400/🚗 $100pp. They take cards in advance or cash at port. Pick up right at port.
  12. We're enroute to Kelly's Mountain and the Cabot Trail. Driver says we should have a Peep Show at top of Kelly's Mountain. Can't get good pix while we're moving - the roads are winding. Driver says we'll stop for good pix on way back down.
  13. Yes, @ninjacat123 we took a slight detour!! But we'll be back on track soon.
  14. Wait time was less than 5 min. Dining room very busy, definitely have Lido in our future to break things up & see what it's like early in AM. ☕ ☕ is HOT!! Need more creamer, but we're off to a good start. Juice is LARGE.
  15. Woo Hoo - I see land (zoom in, I promise it's there) - Sydney, is that you?
  16. Good morning Almost Sydney! We're due to arrive in under 3 hours. Have an independent tour of Cabot Trail and Cape Breton arranged. Very windy. No one in Terrazzo port hot tub.
  17. Dinner 1st night was in Steakhouse. We always eat there 1x/cruise and chose Night 1 so we could get the wine gratis. Menu and everything but dessert vanished, but it was good. I had baked onion soup, ribeye & apple tart; Sis had 🦞 (don't remember which starter) and cheesecake. Already mentioned the worlds smallest slider, but it was cute & good, so it's worth another mention.
  18. Let's see if I can get some more of the early stuff in here before work starts. Carnivale Bar & Lounge. I'm a Bellini fan, so this menu speaks to me, but I will haven't had one. I want to try classic peach, rossini, raspberry, blood orange 🍊 and 🍇. So basically all of them except apple cider & spicy mango. I will report back. Had someone checking wristbands day 1 going ott to Terrazzo but not since. We were on our way out for ail away. Bar was empty; Terrazzo was full but not packed. Invite said live musicians, but we didn't see or hear any; maybe we were too early. Beautiful views - only beef I have is the windows were dirty so couldn't get good pix. @Jamman54Highly recommend Patti be higher up to get better shots, unless they clean the windows that day. Hitchhiker was so cute, I'm throwing him up here again. Curious how long he stayed with us. After Sail Away, we got ready for the Steakhouse.
