NCL has inside for 369 and balconies for 599 for a 7 day cruise to Mexican Riviera. That balcony price is for the BA mid-ship. The guarantees are cheaper by about 50 bucks.
Happy cruising. :)
No questions please as I don't check in often....just go to NCL web site if you are interested. :)
Although I appreciate your effort, dates, name of ship, & departure city would be helpful. Such limited information is really of little use. Anybody with more details??
Everything that I've checked on the the NCL site is double for single occupancy. :-(

The Royal Caribbean website is offering a California Residency rate on the September 13, 2009, sailing of the Mariner of the Seas, from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera. Many categories are on sale, but, the specific price of an E2 Balcony Cabin is as follows:
Price Breakdown Guest 1
Cruise Fare - $789.00 USD
Taxes/Fees - $56.53 USD
Package Total - $845.53USD
In addition Crown and Anchor Society Platinum members receive a $100 per cabin discount and Diamond/Diamond Plus members recieve a $200 per cabin discount on balcony category cabins.
This is one of the best deals on balcony cabins I've seen lately.
Also, seems it would be worth checking Residency Rates for other cruises.
Happy Sailing. :)

Hey MarkBearSF,
Lucky you !!! The Baltics is on my wish list of cruises for the future. If you haven't sailed the Eurodam, I can tell you that you will have a fantastic time. Although the food in the Tamarind was just okay by San Francisco standards, the service and atmosphere were perfect. As one who is happy eating in the Lido, I ate in Tamarind twice in one week. I hope you have a fantasic cruise !! :) Please report back to let us know how things went for you.

Thanks for the great review !! :)

Hey Everyone,
Those of us who have been around for this thread for some time know the rules about mentioning specific agencies. For those who are unfamiliar, check out post #321. Keeping this thread alive and active with solo deals saves us all LOTS of money !! :)
Thanks for listening.

Now that the Carnival Elation has left drydock the Carnival Spirit has arrived and will be in San Francisco drydock until March 26, 2009.

Royal Caribbean is offering a very nice single fare on the Radiance of the Seas, Southbound, Seward to Vancouver, departing Seward on May 29, 2009. The fare on the Royal Caribbean site when entering residency of California for an Inside Category N is as follows:
Price Breakdown:
Cruise Fare $577.75 USD
Taxes/Fees$118.86 USD
Package Total$696.61USD
Happy Sailing !! :)

It appears that the Carnival Elation arrived in San Francisco yesterday. I noticed it today as I was entering 101 from the Central Freeway on my way south. :)

Thanks Mark...I'll keep that in mind. I just called two interline agencies inquiring about a RCCL cruise sailing next week. They both had the same rate information...200% single supplement.
Tipsy
Hey Tipsy,
I may be able to offer some advice to you on interline single rates. You can contact me at the same screen name at aol if you would like.

Here is a link to the Tuesday specials from Royal Caribbean:
http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event.pdf
There are several listings each week for single fares at less than 200%. I've sailed solo on RCI several times in the past 2 years at less than 200% of the single fare. Ability to be flexible with sailing dates is a plus.
:) Happy sailing to all.

Booked NCL's Sun: April 12, 2009 18 day Valpariso to LA repo.
"k" inside total price including taxes and insur: $1330.03. $50 credit with pgwave. $74 a day for a single. Come along!:)
I think that you will love it - I sailed on the Norwegian Dream exactly one year before on her way home from South America. You have a very good itinerary on the Norwegian Sun. Congratulations on your choice ! :)
-
As mentioned by Love2Cruise4Less, the April 17, 2009, sailing of the Norwegian Jewel has good rates on the NCL website. I can't determine if there is an onboard credit with the PGWAVE promotion.
I came up with a less than 100% supplement on a Category K, Inside cabin. Single fare is as follows:
11-Day Transatlantic Miami to London
Ship:Norwegian Jewel
Embarkation:Apr 17, 2009
Disembarkation:Apr 28, 2009
Embarkation port:Miami
Ports of call:Miami; Ponta Delgada; Vigo; London (Dover) Pricing SummaryGuest 1 Guest
Totals:$575.28
Cruise Fare $508.50
Gov't Taxes & Fees $66.78
I pulled the trigger on this one. With the union discount & on-board credit, I couldn't resist. To my surprise, this is one of the cruises that qualifies for a 25% union discount (AFL-CIO) on the base cruise fare. Hope you all can join me! Please?! :)

Hey you two!
My radar says that this is a fantastic deal that you can't beat if you shop around a bit. I'm getting really close to biting the bullet on this. :) Isn't this as good as the December 2008, Norwegian Gem inside rate? Oh, I've got a FreeStyle Cruise Credit for the deposit and want to check on the union discount too.
Sorry, I meant to say the December 2007, sailing of the Norwegian Gem. :)

You never know, it could turn into a great deal for solos....
Right Jack?! That'd be so cool if we could do this TA together too! If I could keep my feet on dry ground til then I could do it up right (a bit pricey to visit those ports!) ... I just can't see not cruising til next November :confused:.
On the NCL Gem 9-day TA last year Jack got a solo balcony for about $630? and I got a solo OCV for under $500.
When did that deal show up, Jack? around September?
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
(p.s. Great to hear from you Jack!)
I remember that you mentioned it to me while we were aboard the Adventure of the Seas in September of 07. So, I am guessing that HeyDallas posted it in August or Sepemeber of 07, about 3 months before departure.
-
Hey Nancy,
That Norwegian Gem Trans-Atlantic is one to keep our eyes on in the next several months. It very could end up having a reasonable single supplement offered at some point. If I remember correctly, NCL came out with some 'no single supplement' fares in July of this year.
Happy New Year everyone (especially Nancy ;) :))

I think it was scheduled to depart today for Long Beach.
I'm actually sad about that. The Carnival Paradise has been so nice to look at from the lobby of my building & on walks down the hill. I've enjoyed seeing it lighted at night, it makes the bay seem that much more active, even though not full of passengers. Guess today was my last chance to see a big ship in drydock there until the next one arrives. :)
-
Darn, must have been too focused on traffic this morning on the bridge...will have to take a look.
Thanks,
Andrew
Looks like it is the Carnival Paradise:

Looks like there is a Carnival ship in drydock now at Pier 70, I noticed it today. Anybody have any information?
-
Hey Everyone,
The Star Princess arrived in drydock today at Pier 70 and is scheduled to be here until October 11. I saw it today on my way down 15th Street and it looks huge. Hope you all are enjoying the great weather! :)

I haven't been following the boards much since getting the boot from the Eurodam on the "caribbean inagural" 10/18/08 but finally did a seach on who chartered the ship...Bob Proctor. He has chartered other ships in the past. Don't think I'll book at the prices he is asking...lol
The rates that are posted on his websight seem very reasonable, they include all costs (tips, fuel, taxes). $399 inside, $449 outside, $599 balcony, $999 suite. Thoughts on this group? Even if you are not part of the group, the rates seem cheap.

Hey Everyone,
For those of you who may be interesed, the SS Independence left San Francisco Bay last month bound for Singapore. Walking down the hill from Buena Vista, I missed seeing her recently and just thought that new construction had blocked my view of her at China Basin. While flying over the City yesterday toward SFO, I saw that her berth was indeed empty. I found this link with the information about her departure from San Francisco. I've always been interested in her and enjoyed seeing her on my walks to the Casto. My first cruise was on her sister-ship the SS Constitution in the Hawaiin Islands. :)

Hubbard Glacier is five times as wide as Margerie Glacier, Glacier Bay's best. However, as others just said, the scenery in Glacier Bay overall is much better than that in Yakutat Bay (IMO). You have to see both at least once in your lifetime, so just pick one and plan to go back for the other next year! :D
Good Advice. I would do the same, pick one, you won't go wrong or be sorry.

Hey Fran,
You're welcome, I am glad that the post was helpful to you. Anyone else out there book this one?
It looks like we will meet again Fran. We met last September on the Norwegian Sun sailing from Vancouver to San Francisco.
I think that you will love the Mariner of the Seas if you haven't sailed her before - this trip will be my 5th on the Mariner & each one of them has been great.
:)
