we just got back from Japan, leaving from Miami. Was a nightmare. Booked through Silverair due to the costs of booking directly. Will never use Silverair again, not matter what the price. Not only did it take us 30 hours and 3 changes but When we were booked on a flight LAX to KIX and weren’t given a seat assignment, knew we had a problem. Of course, flight was overbooked. after much stress, (passengers shifted around)we were finally given a boarding pass and seat assignments 1/2 hour before flight took off. Other people on our Japan cruise had similar experiences.

I will never use Silversea air again. On a milk run to Japan tomorrow from Miami. Last and long leg of trip to Osaka, LAX to KIX, booked on AA 8414 has not assigned our business class seats. No seats available that means to me, esp since when I call JAL(code share partner) and they say all other seats assigned, just not to us. Tried calling everyone. No help whatsoever. If seats open up I am sure they will be middle seats(yes that plane has 2-3-2 configuration in business class) Service has gone way down, in my opinion, with Silverair
