@cusematt4, any updates on your claim? We also have a Travel Insured policy and a travel delay claim due to quarantine in progress. We are following your story with interest.

@LHT28, thank you, I see it in the FAQ. I will feel better about it when the other links are updated.

Read the above.
Makes no sense at all.
says from 1st of August mandatory testing no longer in place except Canada and Greece.
Then goes on to say
PORTS
US…. must test before boarding
Canada ……must test before boarding
EU …….must test before boarding
Nowhere else mentioned
Is it safe to assume if you embark in the Uk or Say Iceland you will not need one ?
Oceania need to give a clear concise message to their quest ….please.
The port info you mention is under the topic:
FOR VOYAGES DEPARTING THROUGH JULY 31, 2022:
For me, the website still shows the March 1st information, even after clearing cookies and cache, logging out and back in.

@Gracie115, here is a direct link. It’s confusing, not all the links are up to date.

We had the UDP on our Anthem TA in May. Only Jamies was open for lunch on embarkation day, but we had a lovely lunch there.

Glad you have it sorted. I wanted to jump in about taking the train from Bologna. It’s easy and cheap. The problem is it’s NOT simple to get a taxi in Ravenna if there is high demand such as a ship embarking. There are very few taxis there, and virtually none on a Sunday. We and about 400 other passengers learned that the hard way on a RCCL cruise in May. There was such a melee at the station that the local police called the ship and demanded Royal send buses. They finally did, and we barely made sailaway. Hopefully Azamara has planned better.

Is it only the sixth floor that has obstructed views? Thanks.
There are 4 cabins categorized as 2E way forward on deck 8. I saw one on the cabin crawl. I did not understand why they consider it obstructed. The only thing different was that the window/door to the balcony was like a giant porthole structure, so I guess you could say you have a different view from inside the cabin, but I saw no obstruction outside. It’s a bit difficult to explain, sorry I don’t have a pic.

How is the weather for your crossing?
The first few days were overcast and quite chilly. Thursday it started to get better. The last two days have been sunny, and today it was in the 60’s with numerous sunbathers about. Very pleasant to walk the track. Tomorrow we port into Ponta Delgado, where it promises to be mid 60’s, but with periodic rain. 🫤

It’s a matter of what is important to you. I prefer the square cabins for the wider balcony, larger shower, and ease of moving around. We had to trade the sofa for a chair, but we’re fine with that.

Currently on the Anthem, cabin 6258. Trying to post pictures, but they keep failing. Will keep trying.

Thanks for the feedback. I prefer for hubby to do slacks at dinner, but it’s nice to know shorts will be fine at lunch.

For the first time we have splurged on the UDP, and will be eating some lunches in the specialties. Are shorts allowed? Anything else we should know? Thanks.

I will do my best!

Thanks...this is helpful to know.
I looked through the website but I couldn't find where it stated that the test could be done on a smart phone (or tablet?) Have you used the service yourself?
From this page:
https://rapidtestandtrace.com/product/observed-test-for-travel/
Description
Our trained and friendly healthcare staff will guide you through the testing process processing via webcam. The session can even be done on your mobile device, all you need is a reliable internet connection.
Upon completion of the test, our staff will interpret the results and issue an electronic copy of your results by email. Please check with your airline and destination travel authorities for their specific travel requirements.
No, I have not used it myself yet. They are very responsive to questions.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I did read where you need a laptop or PC to do the test. Since we won't be traveling with a computer, we would have to do the testing at home. Luckily we can test anytime 3 days before for our HAL cruise.
There is also another option. The company below also accepts iHealth tests, and will do it via smartphones. Note they are not open 24/7, which could be inconvenient if abroad.

We have 6258 for an upcoming sailing on Anthem May 2nd. Other sources say this is one of the least obstructed, and I like the box shape rather than the rectangular shape. I will report back once on board.

If you have the free government tests from iHealth, use this:
https://ihealthlabs.com/products/ihealth-verified-covid-test-service
You can also use this with the iHealth test and they will allow smartphones.

No, I have not used them yet, but they have been very responsive to questions.

We were able to get the UDP for our upcoming TA on Anthem for $215 pp. With 11 dinners and 8 sea day lunches, that is roughly $12 pp per meal (plus grats). Considering Anthem has more restaurant options than the smaller ships, it was a great deal we couldn’t pass up.
