  1. @kazu, @*Miss G*, @ChinaShrek, and @crystalspin: Thank you all so much for your responses and sharing your experiences!
  2. If a non-refundable fare is booked using a future cruise deposit but subsequently cancelled, will the FCD be returned as an FCD available for subsequent use? Thank you all - I've forgotten this specific clause.
  3. Thank you all very much for sharing your experiences! I'm on the Westerdam now and will proceed to book then - I was torn between holding on to a booking I made with prepaid gratuities or cancelling that and making a new reservation while onboard, as it's quite likely that the fare will drop significantly before sailing and I suspect I would lose my prepaid gratuities if re-fared. Much appreciated.
  4. Would anyone know if refaring due to price drops (especially before final payment is due) results in a loss of OBC - specifically, the OBC received from making the booking while onboard a previous cruise? Thank you!
  5. That's a really important rule of thumb to remember! And excellent suggestion - that's an additional reason to get to know more fellow cruisers.
  6. Yes indeed. Time to see if anything sparkles at me at Effy's 😉 I love that CC is filled with so many lovely cruisers who're willing to share their time and knowledge - much appreciated, Nancy! -Desiree
  7. @RuthC I see, that's a real pity but it makes sense. Thank you both so much for the rapid responses!
  8. As the title states, it looks like we'll have more onboard credit than we're inclined to spend on our next sailing. Would we be able to use it for booking future cruises or for purchasing future cruise deposits? Thank you all.
  9. I agree - this was a bit of an unpleasant surprise!
  10. @Toofarfromthesea You're most welcome! Yes, that would make sense.
  11. When we were on the Rotterdam in August for seven nights, it cost $5 per person per day to upgrade from our HIA-included Surf packages to Stream, although it was slightly more expensive if we had upgraded at the start of the cruise (perhaps $40 for seven days, instead of $35?). We tested it out on the final day and were able to videocall each other, if you're interested in the package quality.
  12. We boarded on August 19; very smooth around 12.30-1pm! We were onboard within twenty minutes, at most.
  13. We were on the Rotterdam in August and paid US$21.99 for a digital or printed copy of the 10x8 photos (the largest size - prices differed according to size), and US$26.99 for a digital and printed 10x8 photo. I believe a set of five digital copies were US$100.
  14. @seacruise9, On a sold-out cruise to Norway in August 2023, my partner and I generally walked in around 7-7.30pm daily and were seated at a table for two within five minutes. At the start of the cruise, we made MDR reservations by calling Reservations the day of but noticed that of the two queues at the MDR entrance, the queue for reservations was longer than the queue for walk-ins. I agree that the option to make MDR reservations was not available via Navigator prior to and during the cruise itself - the only ways were to speak to Reservations onboard, either in person or via phone. In general, I don't think you should have an issue with waiting too long for tables; have a great cruise!
  15. We had the Surf package (included in HIA) for a 7-day too, and found that the top-up to Premium was $5 per person per day - this was Norway in August, 2023.
