We are also booked on that cruise. We are going on the Riviera this summer and I am looking forward to the walk-in closet which I missed on the Vista this past summer though I loved mostly everthing else about the Vista.

We did an Istanbul to Rome on Vista in June. The cruise was wonderful. It was the first and only time we will ever book air through Oceania. It was a nightmare. They first sent us an itinerary with three flights to Istanbul and two from Rome. Then it was changed to three worse flights going and two worse flights coming back. I ended up upgrading for more money than if I had booked on my own to Business Class and flying direct to Istanbul but at that point Oceania only had one Business Class seat even though Turkish air showed four of them so my husband flew economy even though he had paid for Premium Economy had to pay for a fare differencial as well. Coming back was a nightmare. People hadn't shown up to work so there was a huge line to check in and we only made our flight because we cut into the line and our flight was delayed. Then our connecting flight was already boarding when we arrived and we only made the connection because I had a wheelchair. The only good part was that they upgraded me to business for free. My husband was in Premium Economy.

For dinner, they give you the menu the night before. If you want a cerain dessert, write that down too. It may take a day or two but keep reminding them. I spoke to the food and beverage manager upon boarding at the Terrace Cafe. Just ask where he/she is. In addition at each restaurant, I kept telling the check-in person, the maitre d' and the wait staff as well. I am both gluten and dairy sensitive. There were about 3 errors that I did catch right away: a regular pasta dish with cheese on it in the main dining room, asparagus in butter at Red Ginger and roasted potatoes that had cheese on them at Toscana. I usually ate breakfast at the Terrace Cafe and asked for Gluten Free Bread or Toast. It took a while for them to get it. Also, please be aware that some of their crew don't speak English so well so when I asked someone where the Almond Milk was, they pointed me over to the oatmeal. If you like calamari, ask for the fried calamari in potato starch. It's very good.
