I thought the App on the iPhone WAS the Cruise Planner?

I am sailing on Symphony in Aug 24 and I have seen different info about pre-booking Specialty Dining and others BEFORE you start the cruise.
Have not seen anything about 'My Time' but saw that Oasis Class ships seem to be sticklers and waiting in lines WITHOUT reservations.
Can you prebook and if so, how far ahead of your cruise?

Is there a tool out there that tracks the prices over the past year... to see if you are getting a
'good deal'?
-
-
I have been told that you can buy-refund-rebook the packages but if there usually is a sale during Black Friday... makes more sense (less work) just to wait a couple of week?
Am I crazy or does that make sense?
-
Does RCL offer 'Black Friday' Sales on the 3-day Dining Package and Ultimate Dining Packages on Black Friday for the referenced cruise?
It's a 9-day cruise and wondering as I saw somewhere on this site that the sales start around 11/17/23?

I figure they started at ridiculous since they knew they’d never get what they wanted without starting there.
I agree CEO salaries are out of control. But what people often forget is what they cost per employee. Ford’s CEO compensation was $23 million last year. With 174,000 employees that’s $132.18 per employee. So they’re asking for more than the CEO’s share.
well said!

Oldest: Song of America
Newest: Oasis
Favorite: Since 'Song of America' was our Honeymoon Cruise... if I picked any other ship I wouldn't see Nookie from DW until my next life!

I agree PhillyFan33579!
I was looking at MSC and they are cheap. Unfortunately, so appears their shows so I am stuck with NCL and RCL as shows are important to us.
We are a supply and demand country... if not the world, so if you want it, you have to pay for it!
I will just go on RCL... but I'll be the one with his hat out on the gang plank as you walk in!

If they all go on strike, the UAW will exhaust its strike fund in about 12-13 weeks. The big 3 can probably wait that out given that dealer lots have inventory. They knew this was coming and given the current state of the car market I think both sides are prepared for a long battle.
I was a negotiation professor at Rutgers years ago...
The upper-limit demands by striking workers are ridiculous... they want a 40% compounded increase, a drop to a 32-hour work week (which then raises the requested raise to 60%+) a return to Pensions (when pensions at non-government firm is in the single digits now), guaranteed jobs (I have never had that .... as many others have not) ... etc.
I agree that the distribution of wealth has been one-sided, hell my wife works in the Pharma field and the CEO is officially the highest compensated employee in NJ!, but they need to be realistic... especially given China's status in the EV market... our future!
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest as all this year has been is strikes or fights.
In Congress, they are not even getting off their $%%@ to address the debt ceiling that when broken on 9/30 will directly impact my retirement funds!
Is there a way to transfer my citizenship to a cruise ship??????

Has Coco Cay been sold to Carnival Cruise Lines?
Love the comment?

Not true. If you call in, a non-drinker can get the refreshment package if their cabin mate gets the DBP (deluxe beverage package) but it must be done by phone.
Just mentioning it though it doesn't sound like anyone is looking to drink enough to justify it.
Didn't know that but the Boys might only have maybe 10 alcoholic drinks each so even just getting the alcohol pkg for them is tooooo expensive

That's for you to decide. When you order something simple like a jack n coke or vodka tonic, you're not really paying for the soda or tonic water, you're paying for the alcohol.
Thanks... neither my wife nor I are alcohol drinkers and the Alcohol Drink Pkg requires ALL in the cabin to buy so I was thinking of the Refreshment Pkg than just a few add ons. Maybe best just to get no packages as the alcoholic drinks cost the same (per drink without package) even if we bought the boys the Refreshment Package.

Someone else will have to answer that. I drink on cruises but I'm not one to order shots (and I actually don't pay anything, I use my Diamond vouchers).
Mixed drinks are mostly $14 and I believe very basic, simple drinks are more like $10... so a shot is probably $10 or so?
so its dumb to get a mocktail in our package and simply pay for the booze then

Just now, OCSC Mike said:
You can order and pay for a shot of rum or whatever and add it yourself but not sure they can "upgrade" your mocktail to a cocktail.
whats like a shot of rum run? (as u can see I am not a drinker but my Boys might want to)
-
This might sound like a dumb question but...
If u have the Refreshment Package... can you just pay only for the alcohol to be added the one or two times you might want it to your mocktail?
-
Thanks FF333
-
If you book it and then the Boys (20 and 24) don't like the idea... can u easily cancel the day pass?
-
Just checked my Planner and it lists the Hideaway Beach Day Pass at $52.99. Is that a good price?
The CocoBeach is $268.99 pp for day pass (way too expensive for 4 of us)

Thanks... we have such a limited view of cruises so far as we usually cater to the kids. Really want a more 'adult' experience. Love Broadway shows, food, games, and sitting by the pool. Excursions want to hit the historic areas.
Been on Carnival once... didn't like it, RCL and NCL and found the two great. NCL Prima looks good and RCL Celebrity might be an option. Outside of that.... looking for advice, as above about Princess!

Thinking about a cruise to these areas for my wife and I. Not like normal cruises we go on (with two boys in their late teens and 20's) this one is more about ^0-somethings?
-
Thanks all as I am surprised that they are running those shows during the day. The last one we were in was very provocative!

Look at Symphony in Spain now and times are very early or not at all. Didn't know if they do different shows depending on where the ship ports are in the world.
I wonder what Perfect Couple is?
Can you book 'MyTime' Dining before the cruise
in Royal Caribbean International

Thanks!!! If you choose ur mytime dining based on shows/entertainment when do they show up so you know when to NOT BOOK?
What happens if you book and then a show is changed and you need to cancel/rebook?
If I look at other sailings on Symphony (I think its in Europe now) are the show times pretty consistent?
