I think Big Vin is pulling chains with some of his comments. I read the full review and he also suggested charging a fee for using the elevators, and serving crispy bacon at the gangway. I have to agree with him about dumping ABBA tho. I remember that Crystal over extended Grand Hotel for their intro production show and it became the butt of many jokes.

Does a crew member still accompany each tour? And how many crew members are there at full capacity?

Of course neither of us know how often this happens, but I would wager that no one proofread the welcome letter mentioned in the original post.

I think Regent is responsible for everything they do AND everything others do in their name. I accept no excuses for bad planning or execution when it's my vacation that is impacted. And I mean everything, including the bagel. 🙂

I agree with the last two posters. Of course, I will try to be fully informed before booking my first post-Covid cruise. Soon after my first post above, I found this video review in the Regent forum And it struck me that this is the main difference between building a new luxury ship and refurbishing an old one. I'm thinking that there is a good chance that the end product for new Crystal will not be very cohesive. It might even wind up looking like an everything bagel, not that there is anything wrong with that. Thank you for your thoughts.

You get a bear, though.

1. I get emails from Crystal. I'm not sure why because it is to an email address created subsequent to the bankruptcy. 2. Having three different cabin designs within the same category is needlessly confusing and likely to cause some negative feelings down the line. 3. Most everything else I read and hear about the revamped cruise line is very appealing to me. But it remains to be seen if this is just marketing hype. If there are good reports here from cruisers who are not predisposed to promote Crystal, then I will book a short cruise to see for myself. I look forward to all your reviews!
