I saw this exact message posted yesterday on FB, but I was at a traffic light and missed the group that it was posted in. OP I was saddened for all that were displaced because the first two sailings weren’t ready for passengers. It was definitely beyond your control, and that of Princess. They went ahead with the 28th sailing with workers aboard who continued to complete the areas that needed it. My guess is that due to safety many areas weren’t opened until they were inspected and certified. God forbid someone get hurt with a hurried opening of those areas. As for the paint being wet, that sucked but you left your mark with your rubber shoe impressions. I hope you hear from PCL, but I don’t think you’ll be satisfied with any resolution presented. Sorry that your 70th cruise was so bad. My trip isn’t until the fall, and my first with PCL. I’m reading all reviews but taking the good over the bad. Somethings go wrong that can’t be helped. But it looks like the staff is really trying their best to please so many. It’s tough.

And hoping the complainers will take the option to wait. Hey, might get better weather and a completed ship. Honestly I think the crew needs a slight reprieve. It’s hard dealing with complaining customers.

May I ask those onboard what the official Sun swag looks like in the gift shop? I’d love to see tees or hats. What’s the color palette. See I’m back to being happy and ready to shop!

Especially when he started threads across platforms as well as the “follow here for first views” days before the ship was to sail. There is money to be made and I applaud the time and effort. I just don’t like the negative titles for clicks. So would this sailing had been considered a shake down had the ship maker not been delayed? I think the major mistake was choosing a maker who had never built a ship of this magnitude. Should have chosen a more experienced shipyard.

And this is why I’ve chosen not to watch the videos with negative titles. Balance in your reviews and delivery draws people to you. I’m guessing this is why JP approached the passenger onboard, and I’m sure she’s not the only one. But she did mention that a fellow passenger not knowing who he was told them to move… no excuse me… Just would you move. 😂 Who was that. 😂😂😂

Reserve mini reserved in November. First-timer on Princess. Let me apologize if my comments of comparison come off wrongly. I am trying to have an open mind when trying new things, but I am spoiled a love beautiful appointed comfort. So I said all of this to say, I’m sucking up not having a special deck access with nice cushion, or shade coverage. ☺️

I find my preference is for specialty dining over MDR. And from the pictures shown so far I haven’t been impressed. This still does not address the fact that with the extra cost of the room and packages there’s no deck accommodations for this category “reserve”. What’s so special about it other than a no wait bland looking dining room. Please remember this will be my first experience with Princess and I’m just trying to understand what I’ve purchased. Thanks

I see what you mean. I’m so glad that the Ascent was completed on time. While I wasn’t on the first sailing, I did purchase my trip right when it was leaving France. Glad those first sailings knocked off the punch list before Christmas.

And there’s a lot of negativity. For some of the videos that I’ve watched on ytube they start out talking about all the things that aren’t to their liking. Even the titles are negative. I can’t listen to them. I’ve fast forwarded some with no volume. And the ones that they’re still showing the storage in parts 1 & 2… it’s too much. I often wonder if they actually allow themselves to enjoy the moments, or is it about being first, or monetizing the videos.
