  2. Family of the day is a chosen at random by Disney Cruise Line, there is not a minimum guest count for family of the day.
  3. That is completely true as I work on a Port Agent on behalf of Disney Cruise Line and other cruise lines. I can assure you that Cast Members are not allowed to remove difficult guests, only the top officers and captain on the ship are allowed to. @Maxgoof1992 In the unlikely event that you do come across a loud passenger at late times, please inform guest services and they will make sure that the noise level is reduced and will monitor it for you in case the guests turn the volume back up. We hope you enjoy your cruise with Disney Cruise Line.
  4. Hi there, I work on as a Port Agent on behalf of Disney Cruise Line and other cruise lines. While we are not able to allow balloons on board, there are many other memorable pieces of souvenir you can bring onboard from your Port Adventures or non-affiliated adventures. The reason why Disney Cruise Line do not allow Balloons onboard are because it may affect our navigational equipment and may distract the bridge, especially if it falls in the water as it could look like a person in the water and may cause the bridge to take unnecessary action. Balloons are also harmful to the environment and may create waste in the ocean, which marine wildlife ingest, and may be harmed by this waste. We thank you for your understanding in our policies, we ensure that our guests will have a Magical Experience.
  5. I'm onboard 3rd August cruise, what are the shops like? as hoping to get hold of a ship model to add to my collection when I go onboard
  6. No, embarkation times don't matter as they don't get checked at the port (I work on behalf of MSC and many other cruise lines as a port agent). Security opens normally about 10am and the ship opens about 11am but you may be made to sit down and wait for your boarding group to be called (you get given a card on arrival with a number). For quick embarkation, I recommend arriving 3-4pm as you will be straight on, but if you don't mind a small queue then come early.
  7. You will be off the ship by 10am, you need to be back in Southampton by 6:30pm to allow yourself time to get back to the ship. I would recommend either getting an MSC excursion or getting the train as soon as you can get off the ship and get a train back around 3-4pm, so you have plenty of time to get back to port in case of any delays.
  8. Are you sure it's the Disney Magic? Only the Disney Dream goes out of Southampton
  9. Ocean cruise Terminal Does, Mayflower does as well, QE II does not. If you are sailing on Sky from 16th September, or regal from now, you may get an Elite Lounge
  10. Hi there, you can either pay in cash only on the cruise ship or use a debit card (associated with your room card for your name). Unfortunately you cannot deposit money and only bringing the ships currency onboard will work (you can always get more if needed at ports)
  11. You need your: Passport, e-ticket (and paper ticket to be safe in case the app fails), cruise cover insurance. Covid vaccination certificates are not needed. Please make sure to print your luggage tags before sailing if you can, if you can't they will do it at port.
  12. MSC sometimes decorate the ship, but most of the time they use the massive screen to do christmas things on. The ship may stop at every port to pick up passengers, but that won't affect your itinerary. Most of the ports you will visit have christmas decorations and markets in the towns/cities. The ship shouldn't be maximum capacity, probably around 5000/6000 guests as it's a week too soon for most school holidays.
  13. MSC Yacht club will have a blue tent outisde the terminal of which you will be escorted through security and checked in, in the exclusive yacht club area, you will then be escorted onto the ship to have fun and enjoy.
