Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I know port to beach price is fixed and regulated (they have a sign by the port), but I wanted a little detour on the way. I was worried about the same situation like what you described above, so I eventually gave up the detour. Most situations like this, there is no proof of what was agreed.
  2. 50 pounds for 4 people vs 35 pounds for 2 people. Looks like you are packing more.
  3. We do not dine at the buffet. Also, even at the buffet, we are a group so we can go one-by-one, no need to leave all at once. Also, someone mentioned that there may be a place on the ship where you can drop your bags. Not sure if that is avialbale. Legally and pratically, I am not. Otherwise, why do we need the concept of employer and why do we need employment law?
  4. Luggage can be kept under the table so no problem and not blocking anyone, as long as it is allowed. This is just a backup plan for my next cruise, but as long as they take the luggage onto the ship even if the tag is missing, I am fine. My question is whether they will take the luggage onto the ship if the tag is missing. Compensating those ask for tips is a question for their employer, not me.
  5. I used to take carry-on only but this time may need a 23kg large luggage. I will use the paper tag only. Will they still take the luggage onto the ship if the tag is missing? I don’t mind going to guest services to take my luggage as long as they take it onto the ship. Otherwise, I would rather drag my luggage onboard, if allowed. Also, I won’t tip anyone who is simply doing their job. The tipping culture created by the U.S. has gone too far. In the City where I live, people are against tipping now.
  6. Now I want to cancel my NCL excursion because DIY is much cheaper. My ship will be in port from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm, so I can take the 9:00 am or 10:40 am ferry from road town and return on the 3:30 pm ferry. However, another ship that will be in port that day has 5000+ guests, so total 8000+ guests for the two ships. Given that many guests may take the 3:30 pm return ferry, I am not sure if there would be enough space. Your thoughts please?
  7. I think the official answer would be 45 mins, but I guess sometimes it could be faster (maybe due to sea condition or otherwise).
  8. Still cheaper than mine. We paid $400+ for the same NCL excursion for four.
  9. I would say no to shopping, unless they are the type of boys who love shopping. Why not asking the boys?
  10. I think someone mentioned another water taxi company, but I do not recall the name. I booked the NCL excursion because I don’t like the 3:30 pm return time.
  11. That schedule makes me nervous, as a result of which I may not feel relaxing at the beach at all. No room for any delay. I wanted to do Spencer’s as well but did not like the 3:30 pm return time, so I booked the cruise line excursion in the end.
  12. Someone booked a cruise when the U.S. processes visas in 30 days, but later the U.S. processes visas in 700+ days. Should that person blame the cruise line not helping in obtaining a U.S. visa? Visa-free is a favor, not entitlement.
  13. This is really far away. We considered that a non-NCL excursion which offers transfer to sugar beach may be better; however, the seniors in my group do not want to spend time on the beach, so we also pick this excursion. I heard that when this excursion stopped on a beach for snorkelling, there are vendors pushing for selling things. What was your experience please? Were you able to see the Pirates of the Caribbean scene?
  14. E-docs are usually available 1or 2 days after check-in.
