  3. I have tried to do as everyone suggests and place a hold on the booking but keep getting this error code: At this point, I give up and will call tomorrow and try to get someone on the line. 🤦‍♀️ I just looked at my email and see that I now have TWO of the same cruise booked! 🤣

  7. I saw the "hold" option but it says it's only good for a day, which would be Sunday and no help. Have you held a cabin for longer than a day?
  8. I am looking for an over the door shoe organizer that will fit the doors on the Koningsdam. The one I ordered that was specifically for cruise ships but did not fit either out main door or the bathroom door and I had to return it. The vendor was very kind and took it back immediately, saying the newer ships may have thicker doors than the older ships. If anyone has a link to one that fits, please post it. I would be most appreciative!
  9. I have been trying to book a cruise for August 2025 using some FCCs I have for a deposit, yet every time I get to the last step, the ONLY option I have is to pay the full fare immediately. I usually use a TA but she doesn't work weekends and I can't get anyone on the phone at HAL, and I don't want to lose the aft verandah cabin I chose. Is this another web site glitch or am I missing something? TIA for any advice!

  11. The PDF is specific to the NA, and I wonder if the other ships are priced the same. Where online did you find this?
  12. I was able to call HAL this morning and get it done, but the shores excursion dept. does not operate over the weekend so I was running up against the 72 hour deadline for booking the excursion. They really need to up their IT game and fix the web site!
  13. I tried this and unfortunately the shore excursion we were waitlisted for still shows sold out and is not showing we had cleared the wait list, o I couldn't buy it. I could have bought other excursions as you did, just not the one we want. Thanks for the suggestion though! It was worth a try.

  15. I was able to talk to a nice man (Ed) but he said I had to go through a different dept. because I was booked through a TA. That's when I ended up in BOT Hell and got nowhere...I'll just have to take my chances Monday and hope the excursion is still available. Thanks for your help. 🙂
  16. Wow! The contact page says they're closed Sat & Sun so I'm surprised you got an answer, but YAY!!! Thanks. I'll give it a shot...well, I was able to talk with someone but he had to transfer me to another department where I went round and round with the BOT and got nowhere. 😖
  17. Were having a slightly different issue with the web site. We were notified that one of our waitlisted shore excursions is now available. I logged on with relative ease, went to my booked cruises page, found the April cruise, selected shore excursions, saw that the waitlisted one had been added to my cart, which I thought was remarkably efficient for HAL. I selected the checkout option, filled in all the info, using the credit card I have always used for HAL purchases, and got a message that said "There was a problem processing this order. Please review your name on card, credit card number, and expiration date - then submit your order again. Still not working? Please contact your payment provider using the number on the back of your card." So I reviewed and tried again...same message. I eventually tried four different credit cards on two different browsers (Chrome & Edge) and got the same message. My husband logged on and was able to make the purchase. Then this morning, I got another email saying a different shore excursion was now available, so I logged in and repeated everything I did the day before and got the same message. My husband then tried (Firefox) and now he's getting the error messages on all his credit cards! I can't call HAL because nobody works on the weekends (seriously???) so now I have to wait until Monday morning to call and get this done, and the waitlist is time-limited. According to the CC companies, there is no reason AT ALL that these credit cards won't process. I've used several over the last few days with no issues. I am beyond frustrated.
  18. We got a similar note every laundry service, from the same person. Too late, I realized she had repaired a tear in a linen shirt I had sent to be cleaned, and would have made an effort to give her a tip for the kindness. I mentioned her in my review to HAL, and hope she got some recognition.

  21. Rookie question, but how does one MAKE a cabana reservation? I've never seen that as an option on the HAL site when buying other things, like shore excursions or spa Treatments.
