  1. I am one that doesn't even know how to scan my statement to send it or to actually set up the account. I have always faxed it to Princess. Last cruise I didn't even apply for the credit but it was a short cruise. I have a cruise coming up next month and will want the credit. No one to help me get it done.I hate this new method.
  2. If someone rents scooter but has never used one before, that can be a danger to others. On a very long cruise(and it was the first couple of days into it), I stepped out of my cabin. A person in a scooter going as fast as they could, ran over top of my foot. ..Going too fast and apparently couldn't stop. Person wasn't in front of my cabin but down the hall when I was exiting. I had one foot in the hall. Needless to say, I had pain, hard to wear shoes the rest of the cruise. The person that did it. Jumped off his scooter . The scooter wasn't a mini size one but a heavy full size. He said he never had one before but thought it would be nice renting one. He demanded to see my foot and I was screaming in pain and said no. I never got his name and he never came down that hall again in the scooter. My friends next door to me were also in the hall so he had to have seen them too.I thought later I recognized him but he wasn't utilizing the scooter, just walking.
  3. My medallion was doing the same thing, a phantom passenger, and I had 8 orders . I downloaded the recent updates . Then I went back in to order medallions and the extras went away and the correct orders for us were there. Then I was able to order the Medallions,
  4. Got the information from same two people. Maybe those who experienced luncheon recently were lucky still on the ship they traveled . Both people are extremely reliable that told me it was discontinued, same people the poster got the information from also. We have been on ships where we went to the very elegant Cocktail party for Most Traveled . Food was really good but nothing to compare to the very elegant Luncheon. I for one feel so excited when I made the luncheon. With so many Elites with unbelievable high numbers , didn't always happen for me with over 800 days. I am very sad if we do in fact loose the Luncheon. And yet another benefit which I considered an honor to attend. The Cocktail party was something I really didn't like. Never felt it was special for us. The Officers mingled and walk around talking to the well travelled people they already knew and most of the time I felt my husband and I were ignored . When I am traveling I never really cozy up to any Officers . Others do feel differently and it becomes part of their cruise experience. I am not critisizing those that enjoy the friendships. I just prefer meeting new friends (passengers)and making friendships that have lasted forever. So the luncheons were special , sad ending.
  5. My daughter had ordered medallion for a cruise in April. It came 10 days before the cruise. However, when she looked at the dates on the medallion, it had a cruise she was going on in July instead. Not a problem for the April cruise, she picked up medallion at the port. So the July cruise had the medallion sent so early and she felt it was sent in error (she didn't even order it). She tried to order another one for July and Appl. wouldn't do it. Boarding the ship in July, the Medallion was still working but died when she tried to open her cabin. It got replaced .
  6. I was still getting the phantom extra person when I tried to order medallions yesterday. Never got around to calling Princess and wasn't in a rush because my cruise is in October. When I saw that there was an upgrade I downloaded it. I have an android phone. Phantom extra person disappeared and I was able to order our medallions. Now, it wasn't without some difficulty but it did go through and I got the email confirming it.
  7. What number do we call for Ocean Ready to remove the extra person from my Medallion order and also be able to order.
  8. If you live in southern California, driving to the port a great option. We live in San Diego and have always driven to San Pedro. My most recent cruise I decided to use a car service instead of driving. With the cost of parking in San Pedro, the savings by not having to park, the car service wasn't so expensive. So next summer when Princess does round trip to Alaska out of San Pedro will be wonderful for me and no flying.
  9. Yes, in a full suite. I will definitely use the breakfast in Sabatinis and lunch, only the occasional dinner with friends won't I use.
  10. sorry if this has been asked already. I have a suite booked for October. (very rare for me to book suites). Once in the past I did have a suite and the old Appl when I looked for main dining, always said that we had the special dining area reserved for suites and reserve mini suites. The new appl doesn't have that and only gives me a choice in the regular dining rooms where I select the dining room, time etc. Do the suites still have Reserve dining or whatever it is called now.? I most probably won't even use the special area because I may want to dine with friends instead.
  11. Did it on the app on a recent cruise. It was easy and appeared within a day as an email and on my account on Princess
  12. I don't like this new appl. How do we add friends as traveling companions for our dinner reservations now. Don't see it on the new appl.
  13. For over a year the Medallion appl. showed me as Blue (I have been elite for years). Never could get it fixed but our medallions always came correct (elite) Now on the new appl, shows me Platinum and who knows what will happen when I order medallions. My daughter who will be sailing with me is showing Gold .I may have to check because she may be Ruby Website shows me correct as Elite.
  14. Bob since you mentioned tips I will ask you. The last cruise we were on we had a full suite.Rarely do we cruise in full suites. We enjoyed Sabatinis every morning for breakfast. The staff working were incredible ladies all from the Ukraine. The last day before the cruise ended and final breakfast at Sabatinis, we tipped all of the ladies the same amount , no matter what their duties were. They all seemed surprised that we tipped them ( and we were generous). What really shocked me was that morning the restaurant was pretty empty. The regulars that we saw every morning never showed up. For the incredible service and this being Suite guests, I was surprised.I know extra tipping is optional but these ladies really made our cruise. Enjoyed the wonderful start of the day with them. We were made to feel special. It was a 19 day cruise. Bob what is done usually regarding tipping here. I know you mostly enjoy the Suite Life.
  15. Bob, thanks for taking all of us along with you on your journey. We were suppose to cruise to Hawaii in July and had to cancel due to my hubby's illness. Second time we cancelled. First time was I had Covid. Nice seeing so many familiar names posting on your journey. Enjoy the rest of your trip, stay well. See you hopefully on the Sun Princess next year. Gloria (and Lew)
