Did you happen to get a picture of the Day 7 MDR menu? I didn’t see it when I was rereading about your trip.

Thanks again for doing this. I watched you dock this morning. I hope you had a wonderful cruise.

not scary, but it does seem that some people, particularly kids, think these are bumper cars and the idea is to crash into every car they see!
most ships have an hour or two set aside for solo cars... where you go through the course on your own, with nobody else on the course. the idea there is that you do laps for timing and try to beat your own personal best time. but, obviously, a solo ride would allay most of your concerns. not sure if the joy has solo ride hours or not, but i assume they do.
According to the dailies @BirdTravels is Live posting, the Joy has both beginner times and Solo times.

Thank you for posting all the dailies. Very helpful.
Do you know if the Starbucks machine is included with the Starbucks package?

Leaving from Manhattan, I believe the Statue of Liberty is on the starboard side. If you go to an upper deck you can also watch as you go under the Verrazano Bridge.
Thank you!

Can you tell me where you make a reservation for parking at the terminal?

Choose Manhattan, parking, reserve parking, then choose the date & ship. Sorry, I can’t seem to add a link to the page.

The ship going up the Hudson is the Anthem of the Seas. Since RCCL and Celebrity docks in Bayonne, they will routinely go up do a circle around the Statue of Liberty and then go out to sea.
Thank you for this info. I wondered if they were getting into port very late. Since I’m guessing you’ve watched ships on the harbor a lot, can you tell me which side of the ship will pass the Statue of Liberty? I’m assuming port side? I’m wondering where we should position ourselves for sail away.

@OrcaGirl had a live blog on the Epic last week. Page 5 dealt with her disembarkation in Civitavecchia and also the shuttle to the outer port. It sounds like it started shortly after 6:30 and went quickly for self carry. I’d suggest reading that.

Looking forward to reading. We’ll be on the Joy in a couple of weeks. Enjoy your trip.

I had to ask 6 different crew members on the Joy last week before I found one that knew what I was talking about. When we finally found the correct location, we were the first to drop any bags and we boarded in group 22. They definitely don't advertise it and don't make it easy to find.
Where did you find it on the Joy? I’ll be on next month.

you said foot stool - my bad
Although you know what, you could possibly use this is a foot stool so I'll repost it lol

Thank you. The adjustable height would make it convenient for multiple uses. I’m not sure the top is wide enough, but maybe if I put a small pillow on top.

I know this is an odd question, but if anyone is sailing in a club suite on the Joy in the next 6 weeks, could you please estimate the distance from the seat portion of the balcony chair to the floor? I need to elevate my legs and plan to bring a folding stool and don’t know what height to get. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for a folding stool, I would also appreciate that information. Thank you!

Has anyone brought on a folding footstool? I’ve seen recommendations for inflatable ones, but that won’t work for me and I need to be able to elevate my feet. They come in a range of heights and I’m not sure what works best for a balcony chair.
