Any that arrive back in the US before Nov. 1 have been removed for sale (not yet cancelled) due to CDC restrictions on cruises over 7 days.

Harmony is scheduled to depart Barcelona on 31 Oct, but it's over 7 nights.  It's been placed on hold for booking at this time.  Hopefully, something will happen between now and then, and they will open up and sail.  🍷

Has anyone had any experience with Cabin 1131 on the Summit. Any issues with noise, sight lines etc. Tx.

    Tom

You should be just fine with regard to noise/sight lines.  You will hear noise when sitting out on your balcony at night if and when they are showing a movie, but other than that, you will hear nothing while inside your stateroom.  Your stateroom is the third in, so no one using the public stairwell will be able to see into your balcony.  If you were in 1139 or 1136, you will hear the door slamming shut from people using the public stairwell on either side.  🍷

I don't believe they were all sold within a couple of hours, usually deck 9 takes awhile to sell.  When I checked 4 of the 5 aft A1's on deck 11 were available, also very desirable locations.   Deck 7 and 8 accessible C1's are available.   I'll still say they are are playing some games.

I didn't realize they have converted all C2's on deck 9 to AQ.   I remember the day when the entire deck 8 & 9 were just CC.

Yeah, things have changed during the last two refits.  🍷

Cabin availability on these new releases don't make a lot of sense.  On the Summit Iceland sailings the only C1's available were on deck 6 and no C2's on deck 9.  It seems they are holding cabins back for some reasons.   One person reported their TA was able to call Celebrity and get their desired cabin.

On both sailings, all the C1's back aft are gone.  If you want one, you will have to go to deck 6.   There are no C2's on deck 9, they are all on deck 8.  There are a few C3's on deck 9, but none available.  🍷

Thanks for this, I just check prices, did not think were insane, high yes def though.  Anyway, more to Always Included...when I booked a pretend cruise it  asked me if I wanted to include gratuities???  WTH, did they make another change?  Is AI still AI or did I miss something?

They are insane.  The cheapest suite is $10K.  That’s just a little less than $1K per night.  You can forget about it.  🍷

    From RCCL SEC filing yesterday:

On December 3, 2020, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (the “Company”) filed a prospectus supplement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), under which the Company may offer and sell shares of its common stock, having an aggregate offering price of up to $1.0 billion (the “Shares”), through any of the Managers (as defined below), from time to time through an “at-the-market” equity offering program (the “ATM Offering”). The Company expects to use the net proceeds from sales of Shares under the ATM Offering for general corporate purposes. The timing and volume of any sales will depend on a variety of factors. Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, BofA Securities, Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, BBVA Securities Inc., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BTIG, LLC, Commerz Markets LLC, DNB Bank ASA, Fifth Third Securities, Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., Mizuho Securities USA LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., PNC Capital Markets LLC, R. Seelaus & Co., LLC, Santander Investment Securities Inc., Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc., SG Americas Securities, LLC and Truist Securities, Inc. are acting as managers (the “Managers”) under the ATM Offering.

The ATM Offering was registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, pursuant to a registration statement on Form S-3 (File No. 333-223241) (the “Registration Statement”) filed by the Company with the SEC on February 26, 2018. The terms of the ATM Offering are described in the prospectus dated February 26, 2018, as supplemented by the prospectus supplement dated December 3, 2020.

In connection with the ATM Offering, on December 3, 2020, the Company entered into an equity distribution agreement (the “Equity Distribution Agreement”) with the Managers. The ATM Offering pursuant to the Equity Distribution Agreement will terminate upon the earliest of (i) the sale of all common stock subject to the Equity Distribution Agreement, (ii) the termination of the Equity Distribution Agreement by the Company or by the Managers, or (iii) the second anniversary of the date of the Equity Distribution Agreement. The Equity Distribution Agreement contains customary representations, covenants and indemnification provisions.

The legality opinion of Watson Farley & Williams LLP, issued in connection with the ATM Offering, is attached hereto as Exhibits 5.1, and is incorporated by reference into the Registration Statement.

This Current Report on Form 8-K shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy shares of common stock and shall not constitute an offer, solicitation or sale in any jurisdiction in which such offer, solicitation or sale would be unlawful.

Please, can you give us the Cliff Notes version of this?  😵 🍷

My experience is that it doesn't get any cheaper than opening week pricing. Not only this, but I'm comparing the same cruise, same type of room, same location of room, same ports, bigger ship, same days, same perks, just a year later. It's double at the opening week. That friend is very, very high. I'll watch this and trendline it as well, but I have a feeling that the cruise industry just raised their prices... big time.

They need to absorb all the FCC's they have hanging out there.  🍷

  8. I think I remember Royal wasn't allowing emotional support animals on board their ships but grandfathered some who have already booked.  That should be expired by now I would think.    I don't mind at all a seeing-eye dog on board, but Foo-Foo being rolled around in a stroller is just a bit too much.  Airlines mandate that the animal be harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times on the plane.  The same should apply to service animals -- no petting allowed.

We are on the Eclipse May 15, for the sweet sixteen at the upper right select lookup stateroom, then enter 6030 or 6055

For the M-Class, you must mean 6030 and 6035?

For the 20 May 2022 sailing, all of the Sweet 16 staterooms are available.  🍷

We have done this cruise with Celebrity 3 times now. Two times in the pass 5 years. The cruise prices for Hawaii/Vancouver or Vancouver/Hawaii do go up fast. One of the reasons we book as soon as they are released. Prices seem higher than normal, but this is not normal times.

Yeah, because they have a lot of FCC's dangling out there that people have to use.  I think they are raising prices so they can eat up some of that FCC and still make a profit.  People will book at the high prices because they have to use the FCC's.  🍷

Does that apply if you don’t have any lights or TV on?

If I had one of those cabins and wanted to gaze out it would be senseless to have any light  in the cabin because of the glare.

    Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

    I wouldn't think that would be a problem.  🍷

Thank you - to rephrase, if I'm looking for bed by bath I just find a cabin with a square or rectangle? Sorry, addled brain 😉

If you find a square or rectangle (Bed by the Bath), and there is a large section of the ship with no square or triangle, you have to count from there on the deck plans as every other stateroom has bed by the bath.

The test will be when you are on Deck 11, AQ, where there are no squares/triangles because they are all staterooms for just two people.  The decks are mirror images, so just go down to deck 10 and find a corresponding stateroom, and the one above it on deck 11 will be the same.  For example, stateroom 1108 on deck 10 has a square.  The stateroom directly above is 1610 (no square).  It will have the bed by the bath, the same as 1108.  There are some deviations to this when you encounter a deck with accessible staterooms and/or suites, but you can figure it out.  🍷

Sounds like Celebrity is reinventing their image.  All inclusive costs more. That should increase profits if ships sail full.   Celebrity prices are increasing.  Captains club benefits are decreasing.  If and when the ships sail again, Celebrity will attract a different demographic. So much for being elite plus.  Getting a vibe that doesn’t sit well.

I agree.  Celebrity is pricing me out of their market.  🍷

  14. Last year they had Black Friday specials/reduced prices in the Cruise Planner, such as internet, shore excursions, and the like.  Unless you have a large amount of OBC and with all the cruises that have been cancelled, I'm definitely not going to throw money at Cruise Planner items only to have them cancelled in the future.  🍷

Ok thanks.  Do you know Approximately how much larger is it than the normal size balcony? We are booking in the 2C category  what category is on the hump?  Is 6240 a larger balcony, it is close to the hump?

I didn't know that 6240 was an option for you.  We are booked in that same stateroom  on Eclipse next year.  Definitely go for that one.  It has the huge balcony on the hump, 2 and 1/2 times the size of 6302.  It has bed by the balcony, and the view might be a little obstructed by one of the boat davits, but I wouldn't let that worry you.  🍷

  16. Yes, both balconies are a little bit larger than the normal ones, but not the size of the ones on the hump.

If you don't mind the walk, I would go for it.  Not sure what your bed location preference would be, but in 6303 has the bed by the balcony, whereas in 6302, has the bed by the bath.   🍷

Agree with upgrading on board, if we ever get to board again.

My last cruise we upgraded with a nice fellow at the Sunset Bar on Equinox....he went out of his way to help my Wife and I the entire cruise.

I agree.  Update with someone/some bar you are going to frequent on the cruise.  The person you upgrade with gets to keep the upgrade gratuity, so they do take care of you.  I like to go with the Sommelier -- sometimes they let you taste some nice wines that are not on the list or within the price range.  🍷
