Posted this on the port of call page but thought I might get a response quicker here. I am 72 years old, in fairly good shape, walk 1-2 miles a day. Was wondering how far the walk is from the bus to the river. Also is it even terrain or is it hilly an rocky? Any help would be appreciated

Going on March 1st and trying to decide. I am 72, in fairly good shape, walk 1-2 miles a day. My concern is how far a walk is it to the river from the bus and especcially how is the terrain. Wondering if it was fairly level or is it very hilly and uneven terrain. Thanks for any help.

We were on the Dream four times last year and going again March 1st. We were on Vista deck once, Main deck twice and had another I can't remember. We also had friends and family traveling with us and none of us had any problems at all. I love it COLD and no problems at all. Hope you have a great cruise. Almost forgot, we had oceanview twice and balconys twice, no interior.

My packing is almost like your husbands except I also take a suit coat and pants. I wear a pair of tennis shoes and take a pair of dress shoes. Sounds like he should be fine. Have a great cruise.

I booked our cruise using my American Express, since then we have some disputed questions with American Express. Cruise is fully paid for, but I want to use another credit card for our sail and sign card or do I have to use the card I used to book the cruise? Thanks for any help.

On the Dream, we got ABC, CBS and NBC in our cabins but no ESPN. They mighy have them on at the sports bar. On our previous cruises, sometimes they have college games on and others they do not. I guess it is up to the cruise director what is shown in the public areas.

We just returned from our diamond cruise and the thing I enjoyed most was having nbrunch with the captain and 5 or 6 senior officers. They were so nice and answered questions we had about life on a cruise ship. I was wondering if this is something you get for every cruise after diamond or was it a one time thing.

Wife and I are both diamond. 37 Carnival cruises with around 215 days.

We were on the Dream with you and had a fantastic time. Except for a short shower in Cozumel, the weather could not have been better. Looking forward to the rest of your review. Hope you have some pictures.

Just wondering, if you were on the first tender, how did they get there before you?

We have been on the Dream 3 times since April and going again next week,so obviously we love it.

We were on the 8/31 sailing in room 9255, our daughter in 9259, my son in 2357 and my good friend in 1304. None of us had any problems and I like it COLD.

What hours is brunch available on the Dream? Thanks

You will certainly save money by booking privately and 99% of the time will have no problems as long as it with a reputable company. HOWEVER on one cruise our tablemates were left behind because their bus had a flat tire coming back from Dunn's river falls and had to find transportation to our next port, Grand Cayman. Not trying to scare you as this is EXTREMELY rare, but it can happen. We always book through the ship just for peace of mind. I figure if I am spending a couple thousand dollars on a cruise, another hundred dollars is not that much. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT CRUISE.

We have been on Golden Princess and the time we were on it surely wa NOT a step up over Carnival. It was nice but we have over 80 cruises and never had one we did not enjoy. I surely WOULD sail Princess again so I am NOT putting them down, but I prefer Carnival or Royal Carribean with Carnival being our favorite.

Over 80 cruises, never lost any luggage. One time a tag got pulled off, we called guest services and it was setting right there waiting for us to claim it.

A couple of years ago, they had a bus that would drop you off at several different areas like Margaritaville, a private beach and several other spots. They made a loop continually and you could get back on and return to the terminal at any time. Can't remember what they called it but was wondering if it is still available and the cost. THANKS

Thanks for all the help. Was thinking about going, now I certainly will.

Thinking about trying it this time. How does it compare to Chakannab, Passion island and other beaches. Also can anyone give me a ballpark figure for taxi rates both ways, entrance into the park, cost of a meal for two people and any other items I might have forgotten. THANKS.

We have been to both multiple time and each in the last two months. Both are great iteneraries with great excursions. If I had to choose one it would be Jamaica and Grand Cayman. We cruise a lot and without a doubt my favorite excursion by far is swimming with the stingrays in Grand Cayman and my second is climbing Dunn's river in Jamaica. Having said that, a lot of people do NOT like Jamaica because of thoughts about their safety. We have been at least 9-10 times and never had a problem. The natives are persistent trying to get you to buy their goods, but just walk on by, stay in the RECCOMENDED areas and you should have no problems. We just back from Roatan and Belize two weeks ago and had a great time as well. Hope you have a great cruise.

Wejust got off the Dream on 9/7, my son had room 2357 and it was very cold. We had 9255 and it was also very comfortable and I love it COLD. We had heard many stories about the air conditioning so I asked several people about their cabins and heard no complaints.

We just got off Sunday 9/7, had rooms 9255 and 9259 and it was fine and I like it COLD.

We are leaving Sunday and I just read they have the Seuss at sea program. We were on the Dream in June and july and I don't remember hearing anything about it. I believe my 2 and 4 year old grandkids would love it. Just wondering if they do have it on the Dream or did I read it wrong. THANKS.

We are going next week, grandaughter wants to swim with the dolphins but my grandson wants to zipline. We have been to Chakannab several times but I don't remember if they have zipline there. Any help would be appreciated.

On the Dream last year we had 12 and were seated very comfortably, we had a 2 and 4 year old. If you have small children you should have no problem but I would e mail the maitre d ahead of time with your request.
