Carnival, why do you even make rules?
cacruisin replied to crazy4themouse's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I look at it like a win win for Carnival....the rules help ease the minds of those concerned with rowdy teenagers or bar fights, but the lack of enforcement eases the minds of those said rowdy teenagers or bar fighters LOL. Honestly, this is a case by case, boat by boat, employee by employee situation and will never have a consistent answer across the board. No different then when you get pulled over for speeding a certain officers will let you off while another will give you a ticket although the "law" remains the same for both officers. -
I have been to Stone Island before but need a little refresher on how to get there. Can anyone give me the basic directions please? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

If it was me I'd pack it among other bottles such as shampoo/conditioner/mouthwash etc and I'd say the odds are in your favor.

Jeans OK for Elegant Night per Hub App
cacruisin replied to overeasy's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I have a 12-year-old son and to get him to wear something half way decent is an act of God, but I do have him convinced he has to dress up for formal night so you better believe I capture it in a photo as its likely my own chance of the year LOL -
I have never in my life considered removing the auto-tips or thought of the breakdown that much....on vacation I am in "happy chill" mode....I do everything possible to avoid that guest services line so to me I'd rather pay the tips then take away that time from my vacation to stand in a long line regardless of specific service....my time is too valuable.

Jeans OK for Elegant Night per Hub App

I have definitely seen people kicked out for attire...in MDR on fancy night a guy in shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt, a teenage boy at the steakhouse was asked to remove his baseball hat and even in the buffet people coming right in from the pool in their swimsuits were asked to at least cover themselves with a towel. However, personally I tend to mind my own business and don't really pay attention to others I am not with and frankly don't really care what people wear. I don't really let others distract from my vacation or people I don't know affect me. -
I go both ways, on one hand I'm ready to get back to my dog and my bed etc....but on the other hand I am not ready to get back to cleaning, cooking and driving carpool etc....so its always bittersweet for me....I do find myself that first day home still looking for that pool waiter with my Miami Vice LOL

We are a group in several rooms and for booking purposes some rooms were booked with some families split etc....for example I am booked with someone else's child in my room etc....My question is when we do online check in are those "per room" like will I need to have that child's info when I complete my online registration or can that child's mother (who is booked in another room) complete online booking for her child? Basically, my question is if online booking is per room or per individuals? TIA

Pirate's LIVE Celebration Review...February 26-March 5, 2023

I have never had Blue Iguana for breakfast. What are the meat options? Do they have chorizo? I really like chorizo and eggs in my breakfast burrito!!!! TIA -
I carry a purse all year long and enjoy putting it away in my safe for a week on a cruise, I also don't wear much with pockets so yes, I wear the lanyard. It's just too convenient for me especially with cheers I find I am constantly in need of it etc.

Completely agree with the others…first night is a must….first time I took my son he didn’t want to go at all…had to bribe him with arcade money just to go….fast forward a few hours to him crying because I picked him up 5 minutes early because he didn’t want to leave….now 8 years later he still goes and still enjoys his club.

Help for foodies going to Mexico for the first time
cacruisin replied to clairebearinaus's topic in Mexican Riviera
While I don't disagree with you, I think those who consider "Taco Bell" Mexican food that it might be a bit too much for them to start eating....brain, tongue and intestines etc.....lol -
I've sailed on both and found the differences marginal. I like the layout of Royal ships more and I agree you can say that's its slightly fancier. However, I tip my hat to Carnival on both food options and comedy, but Royal for production shows. The main difference that stands out to me is fun/nightlife. I have traveled on both during spring break, and I found the Royal boat to be basically dead by 10pm. Hardly a sound or a person around. Now of course this could be situational, but I enjoy a bit of nightlife and I think Carnival has more popping in the evenings with casino, piano bar, adult shows etc.

Experienced Bingo Players - Walk Me Through the Process

I played bingo for my first time this last cruise, it was not intimidating and it was so fun!!!! I do believe however that we bought our cards earlier in the day at a separate location. -
If I want to just add $500.00 cash...can I do that online when I do the pre-check-in 2 weeks out? If not, do I have to go to the front desk on the ship to add the cash? I don't want to have to go stand in that line at the front desk. Also, assuming I do this and I have a balance at the end how do I get the balance back? Again I do not want to have to wait in that long line at any point on the cruise LOL.
-
I have pre-payed for Cheers, tips and our specialty restaurants so I am not anticipating a tab over $500.00-ish so I didn't figure there would be too many holds etc....but now with all the opposition I'm reconsidering...

It was the first meal on my first cruise (as an adult) and I have ordered it fondly ever since! I do recall the quality being a bit subpar last year, but I will still order it next month for nostalgia.

So we are arriving in an RV that needs 10ft clearance so will need to park in the oversize lot.... anyone know of additional costs or availability on the oversize vehicle lot?
-
Thank you for your reply but I am still confused....aren't all balcony rooms set up like that? I always book a balcony room for 2 and have never heard of this...have I always been paying for a third person and somehow didn't realize?
-
What makes a room for 3? Is there 3 actual beds or just the couch/bed for the 3rd person and isn't that in all rooms? I'm confused....
-
Is there just a $200.00 hold or are there additional holds if I use an ATM? TIA
-
THANK YOU...you will be getting off and we will get on we leave 03/25/23!
