  1. We are leaving on the 23rd for Bermuda from Norfolk.

Spring cruises from Norfolk had some issues. Long lines & not enough personnel to handle the workload. People's cars were broken into & damaged. Parking wasn't secure & security was pretty much nonexistent. People pitched a fit (rightly so) they called police, city, news channel, & Carnival. That didn't get their vehicles repaired but the city, so I've heard have made repairs for the parking lot to be more secure & Norfolk police will patrol the lot.

Why were guests put in tents when they have a cruise terminal?

On our last cruise when filling out the check-in it asked if I had a CPAP and did I need distilled water. I did not add anything else and there was an extension cord in my cabin upon arrival. Doesn't mean this will happen every time but I have always been asked in the terminal if a cord was needed.

Interesting, my last cruise was this past April on Sunshine & I didn't see any information on the check-in process nor was I asked at check-in at the port. I ended up using bottled water that I purchased from Carnival & bottled water worked fine.

My husband now uses a CPAP and on our recent RCCL cruise, he completed a medical needs form requesting an extension cord and water and they were both in our cabin waiting on us.  Does Carnival not offer this service with a completed form?

No, Carnival doesn't offer an order form. It would be great if they did. You have to call ahead if you can even get a call through or order when you board.

Every time we drive down to Port Canaveral from Charlotte, NC, we stay in Kingsland, GA.  It's the last exit before the FL border and there are a wide variety of hotels immediately off of the exit.  (One you just drive across the street and straight into the parking lot.)

We are in NC also, but closer to Va. We did the same as you, drove to Kingsland Ga. Eight & 1/2 hours of driving. It was about a 3 hour drive to PC.

I'm gold and was on the Sunrise in Oct 2021.  I was told I could only get our free drink in the MDR.  Seems like there is no consistency happening throughout Carnival's fleet.  Poor management.

You are right about no consistency. We were on Mardi Gras in Oct. & went to Guest Services. I asked about getting the free drink & was told "GOLD" no longer get a free drink. Then she said I will give you a free drink on your sign & sail card.

Hope it works out for those cpaps...my husband's was medium size and wouldn't have fit.  I don't think there are outlets by the bed or those shelves.

I had to get an extension cord from the cabin steward

Terre.   Thanks for the review.  This is our itinerary after Thanksgiving.  We're with you on the ports, except for Costa Maya we always visit my old friend Jaime at Jaime's Blue Reef. We've know him since his pre-CM days.

Appreciate the cabin review.  We've got a balcony as well.   Sounds like I need to bring a small folding table/tray for my CPAP.  Did you go into the spa/gym?  Have always used those showers but Vista and Horizon locker rooms were worse than the cabin shower.

Did you hang out at all on the aft by the Pig & Anchor-Watering Hole?  Was it as crowded as the Serenity?   Glad to here the kudos for the Hero's area.  Might be my hangout spot.

And sounds like the barkeep at the P&A could have been the same one we had on the Horizon.   Couldn't do a proper pour, mix a drink correctly, and paid more attention to the CHEERS people than the one drink folks.  I told the Alchemy mixologists they should give her lesson.  LOL.

As far as décor, pictures I've seen of Emeril's and the  Fortune Teller do seem to have NOLA flavor, but agree there should be more around the ship.

Thanks for the entertainment reviews.  That's been hit or miss on recent pre-COVID cruises.

My c-pap fit very well on the shelf by the bed. It's about 4 years old & not really

    big.
