  1. i searched and did not find an answer to my question. What specific steps do you follow to move a booking you made yourself to a TA? Is there a specific telephone number to call?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Call 1-800-522-3399 then press Option 4.

You'll need the agent's name and their local phone # (not 800).

It's easy, I just did it a month ago.

  2. Is Flight Ease worth it form transcontinental flights and, if so, can it be upgraded with FF miles?

I believe that FF miles upgrades would depend on the flight booking class. I looked at upgrading an international flight, but my booking is in a low fare class and can't be upgraded.

  3. I plan to move our reservation for our Koningsdam trip next year to a TA but am wondering if I will still be able to communicate direct with HAL for plane reservations....since we are on a transatlantic I've always found the cruiselines(well...Celebrity anyway) have better one way prices than anywhere else....or will I have to go through the TA once I've transferred the reservation?

Unless this has changed in the last few months, you will have to work through your TA. I have worked around this by selecting my flights through HAL once available, and then transferred to TA.

  4. deposits over here are always non refundable (i guess ). we can change every part of the booking, including the ship, but paid is paid.

Enjoy AMS and Norway . It's gonna be a nice day Saturday for your sailaway.

Thanks, getting ready for the train journey to AMS and overnight there.

  5. Only the Ready,Set,Sail promo is showing on HAL right now.

    Nothing about Explore4.

I am in Germany right now, so can see the Explore4 info. One thing I noticed in the Terms and Conditions is that the deposit is non-refundable. Of course this addresses booking from Europe.

We are off to AMS tomorrow to board the Prinsendam for the first time, really looking forward to it!

  6. Thank you, Chris. We will take the S-Bahn from the airport and change at Hbf to our ongoing train, don't plan to stay in Hamburg. So it sounds as if we'll be fine without having to find a machine for validating the ticket. I left Germany in 1964, just go back for visits now. So much has changed, lots new stuff to learn each time.

  7. We plan to buy a train ticket from a kiosk at the Hamburg airport train station in Germany. I believe you will have to validate it on the platform? Our trip will also necessitate changing trains - do we have to validate again before entering the second train?

I do not want to pre-purchase this time since I'm not sure of which train we will be able to get after arriving from London at the Hamburg airport.

  8. You must do it before final payment date. Your TA's name, company name and telephone number is usually all that is required for you to give HAL. I forget the number you call at HAL - listen on the main number for the the options, but someone here is sure to know and will post.

I just did this on Friday, they must have had phone problems because I waited 2x for 10 minutes before someone answered. Was always very quick before. You'll need your booking #, name of agency and agent and their regular phone number, not 800.

World Cruise Reservation phone is 1-800-522-3399, Option 4 to transfer to agent.

  9. Just purchased / redeemed OBC to be applied to an upcoming and already booked Crown Princess voyage.

Does the Barclays OBC appear in my Cruise Personalizer?

Does the Barclays Credit appear in "Payments and Credit" / "On Board Credits for this Booking" section along with the stockholder benefit credit?

    Cheers

I think it shows under "Special Services." No personal experience, but seem to have read about this some time ago.

  10. I have the same question as I have 21 Loyalty credits. Do we ask the Captain's Circle Host/ Do we bring our credits history with us? Thanks to those in the know. This is the first I have heard of this benefit. Barbara

There will be a card in your cabin listing the credit and it will show on your on board account. You won't see anything about it before you board.

I just saw that Mario beat me to the punch.

  11. I'm sorry, but I can't remember which port we used in Copenhagen. I believe it was the one that was closest to everything. We took one of the ship's tours there, so all we had to do was get on a bus. Whichever port it was, there was a long line of shops (it was labeled as outlet shopping) along the pier walk.

    Best regards,

    Priscilla

Thank you, no problem. We have been there quite a few times and probably just take the HAL shuttle (if offered) into town.

  12. In case you are interested, I have PDFs of the OnLocation dailies of my recent Norse Legends cruise on Rotterdam. You may want to take a look at them for further information. You can download them from my wordpress blog.

Thank you so much, very informative. We are booked on this next year early June on the Koningsdam (B2B after the Baltics). I'll be sure to pack some warm clothing.

  13. And if you fill up before you turn the car in DO NOT go to SUNCOAST ENERGYS or SUN GAS to fill up, keep going a half-mile farther up 436 to Wa-Wa, you will save about $20 if you need 5 gallons!! SUNCOAST is currently $5.95/gal and Wa-Wa is $2.06/gal!

Be prepared to show Avis your gas receipt since it's such a short distance. We have had to show it for rental from Venice to TPA.
