Why not report it on the ship?
I considered it, but since it happened on a Saturday night (and disembarkation was the following morning), there was no point in complaining to Guest Services on the ship.

A crew member was cleaning the drink station in one of the buffet dining rooms late in the evening (around 10pm). He did this by standing on top of the counter and using his shoe and a rag to wipe the counter.
I definitely reported that to corporate

I took a Eastern Caribbean cruise in Sept 2015 and we missed an incoming potential hurricane by one day. Fortunately, we left port one day before a hurricane was arriving. And fortunately, for FL residents, the hurricane got downsized and ended up being just a bad storm.
But the seas were rougher than usual on the first evening. The captain eventually worked his way around it and the rest of the cruise was smooth sailing.
Even though I'm a veteran cruiser, it was the first time I had to worry about a potential hurricane affecting my cruise. I sure read up and followed hurricane news the week beforehand. In the end, everyone on here is correct. You just never know. It's unpredictable.

Enjoyed the review. I was on this ship the week prior (eastern route).
I agree about the slow wait time for the MDR food, but nothing I had to complain about. Not a big deal.
The cruise activity staff was great when I was there. Hopefully they brought the same fun on your cruise.

I always try to catch one sunrise as well
But for the most part, when I'm on a cruise, my sleep schedule usually is 1 AM to 7 AM
If I feel like I need a nap during the day, I usually take one right before 6 PM dinner (so I basically shower and change for dinner around 5 PM, take a nap in-between, then straight to dinner). If I take a nap at any other time, I feel like I'm wasting time on a cruise!

I was on Indy from August 30-Sept 6 and I just came across this thread. Great pictures! I miss the cruise activity staff. They were awesome!

I was a guest during Leigh's tenure on Indy (aug 30-sept 6 2015).
That guy is beyond hilarious. Best cruise director I've cruised with.

Looking through my pics (August 30 2015 - Sept 6 cruise), I see a round table under the chandelier. I can't confirm if that is a captain's table or not.

I just returned from this cruise as well. Glad it was something positive when they mentioned a "medical emergency"
Overall, great cruise for me, as I was extremely worried the week prior about hurricane Erika.

my first cruise ship was also the Viking Serenade, going to Esenada, Mexico.
this was either in 1997 or 1999. Can't remember :(

With early dining, I can usually squeeze in a quick nap beforehand. Maybe shower, shave, etc at around 4:30 pm. Take a quick nap and when I wake up, all I have to do is put on the appropriate clothing (formal, casual) for dinner at 6 pm.
There aren't many activities to do at 4:30 PM on a port day anyways.
