  1. The Hyatt Pier 66 had taken us to Pelican Landing by golf cart and reassured us that they would return to pick us up. After dinner the restaurant called the Hyatt twice including the manager to have us picked up. No one came to get us. After waiting more than 45 minutes I called the hotel then myself and spoke to someone representing management who left me on hold and did not return. After 10-15 minutes I hung up and we headed back to the hotel. It was very difficult for me but I had no choice. Having so much pain I did call it a night.

    Sheila and Jerry, Gene and I flew in earlier on US Airways. Ginny and the gang on Southwest arrived several hours later. We were all suppose to eat together but the four of us were so hungry we headed off to dinner not knowing when the rest would get to the hotel after their flight. The four of us got seated right away. Service like Ginny said was very slow but the food was good. Worked out better we ate separate for they never would have been able to seat all of us together.

    The yachts around the restaurant were so awesome. We were not playing the “lottery game” but we sure were daydreaming about that lifestyle.

    Ginny you are doing a great job.

  2. I was on the same cruise and my husband had the drink package. He loves his Diet Coke. He was really upset with the machines. Either the machine was completely off, out of Diet Coke completely, or even when it was available, it tasted horrible and watery. He ended up going to a bar to get his drink most of the time.

    I was on the Allure April 28th cruise and I have to say I did not like the machines either due to issues...mainly dripping watery ice when the cup fills. In all dining places including the WJ I showed my sea pass card and the waiter brought me a glass of Coke.

    Going to read your review like Ginny and relive the cruise. Thanks. Nice meeting you and Gina.

  3. The first time my boyfriend came with me on a RCI cruise, on our 2nd day (Sunday), while in the elevator, he said "Funny, yesterday we were in the Saturday elevator". He thought that the day of the week was the "name" of the elevator. I laugh every time I tell that story! HAHAHA.

    I love this!! :D

    When men say things like this you have to love them more!!

  4. On the Vanity/Desk area, there's a cool iPod/iPhone docking system - for not one, but TWO devices. I could charge my iPhone while charging my iPod at the same time...and I could play music in my cabin through the speakers. I LOVED this.

    We had nothing like that on the Oasis, there are some amazing differences between the two ships. :confused::confused:

    Is there a docking system in all the cabins?

    Sherri..thanks so much for the time you took to post your dinner at Giovanni’s.

    So what are you doing to spend time besides making us happy with your review? Must be so hard.

    Are you in Fort Lauderdale?

    Thanks again!

  7. Received e-mail.. 25.00 for 2.5 hrs.

    He has been very accommodating with quick responses, been flexible with itinerary and a reduced tour price so I am very pleased.

    I will come back early May and let you know if we do the tour (have to make sure all in the group want to participate but I am positive) and if so let you know how it went.

    Thanks...

  8. From Jermaine-yesterday...

    "May van has a seating capacity of 12 passengers comfortably. In regards to the walking distance from the senior frogs to the cruise ship, it's less than a 6 minute walk from Senior Frogs to the cruise ship.

    On fact you can view the ships from senior frogs.

    My tours generally is a lot of fun and excitement. We take you around and show you all of Nassau's historical landmarks including, our Parliament, Senate and supreme court buildings.

    We explain in great details the Historical Development of the City of Nassau as well as the history of the Government, people & their Heritage , culture and religion of the country.

    We will reiterate the differences between life in the Bahamas from 300 years ago to now, as we take you through the changes the country has undergone.

    The tour will take you back to the 1800’s as you explore the history and society which built this beautiful nation.

    We also take you in the inner City areas and in the different Residential areas where you see first hand the different quality of life and Standard of living.

    We also take you to the different historical forts as well as the Queen staircase. View Fort Fincastle, and the Queen staircase which were built by Bahamian slaves and learn about the role they played in altering society in the Bahamas.

    The admission into the Forts is $6.00 total for both forts. The tour of the Fort is the high light of the tour, a lot of historic information.

    We will have a great time together for about 2.5 hours.

    The price of the tour is $36.00, per person total for 5 or more persons.

    This price includes the admission cost into Both historical Forts!”

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Got this yesterday. E-mailed him back and said no forts..See Atlantis-drive around. 2.5 hours is not very long for that price..So I asked him about getting it cheaper. If we take out Forts then this is what is left..for 30.00
    1. Parliament, Senate and supreme court buildings
    2. Inner City areas and in the different Residential areas
    3. See Queen Staircase
    4. Drive around Atlantis
    5. Drop off at Senor Frog
    We will not go to the zoo and are doing lunch at Senor Frogs on our own when it opens.
    We can do straw market on our own since next to Senor Frogs I believe.
    I just don’t know since we really are not seeing too much.
    Will decide after he e-mails us back..talk about it with others.
    Thanks for input..
  9. We're scheduled to tour with him on 4/11, so I obviously can't provide a reply based on experience other than to say he has been very communicative and helpful. I'll post something when we return, although I would imagine that might be too late for you to make a decision. Hopefully someone who has actually toured with him will chime in.
    Thanks Michael..Have fun!!
  10. Looking at a short tour in Nassau and he has some good reviews on Trip Advisor. Has anyone toured with him?
    Any info possible we would appreciate..
    Any other tours to suggest?
    Thanks..
  11. Chrystal..so sorry for the loss of your father. I am so happy for you that the birth of Isaac helped deal with the pain knowing your dad was watching over you all.
    All that hair is amazing. He is adorable.
    My DD is due in 27 days and is having a boy. I know you can identify how miserable the last month is. Good thing no one tells you ahead of time that you will be 12 days overdue before delivering and having such a lengthy labor.
    Our cruise on the Allure is less than 2 months now and your review sure was valuable..
    I hope you are getting some sleep. The first few months are tough till they sleep for longer periods.
  12. It doesn't make any sense to use the Water Taxi to get to Dough Boys. It is 1.3 miles from Pier 66 and 1 mile from the water. It's just a neighborhood pizzaria/sub shop with no ambiance. If you decide to go there, ask if they could get you all on one table.
    Thanks..Think I will leave it out of consideration. So glad we have you to run things by!!
    Laura
  13. Just wanted to check on DOUGH BOYS..829 SE 17th Street
    We are staying at the Hyatt Pier 66.
    There would be over 20 in the group and they said they could handle us but wondering can you get to and from Dough Boys using the Water Taxi?
    Any feedback? They have such a large menu..
    Thanks
