I was playing on the Carnival website today. Looks like they have added additional cabins as Havana cabins on the deck above the pool. They are now Havana Premium balcony cabins.

This makes me so mad. :mad: I booked an inside Havana instead of a cove balcony. About the same price the day bookings were released. I did this because of exclusive pool rights. Now they have alot more people and I have no balcony. Also when they were released it said spa access. I think I am getting very upset with carnival.

I may be the magic since texas got the breeze nothing in writing just a 90% probability since a carnival department head said at one time

I don't like it, but it won't stop me from booking a cruise.

I have been to both Montego bay and Ochoa rios. I really liked the Montego bay resort. They had slides, a lazy river, and the beach. The beach is just ok but everything else was good. We loved the lazy river and the slides. Dh likes the swim up bars. Drinks were good and easy to get. Food was just ok. Ochoa Rios was nice. Better beach but no lazy river. Would go back.

The platinum or Vifp pricing is fantastic. I have a Havana cabin inside on hold cuz there is only 1 left. I am not sure if it is worth the extra money cuz it may be to cold to use that area. Thoughts????

No they have a cocktail reception after muster and you get your drink card then. On one premier cruise I got my drink card sent to my cabin withnmy name tag. Not sure which is standard since I have only done 2.

Oh just wanted to add she was able to view her pictures on Wednesday. Please save lots of money for pictures. They are amazing. She got a very good deal after negotiations with James the photographer. She took her price list from a year ago and theta may have helped. I just want to say the pictures were as much as the wedding package and worth every penny.

She received her picture package the night before debarking. I would love to post them but not sure how.

She did all the wedding things like garter toss and bouquet toss. My son caught the garter and his girlfriend caught the bouquet. I am in big trouble lol.

Time went by way to fast. They cut the cake, drank toast, danced to a few songs, I fell down the step to the dance floor :o , ate drank a few drinks, and then it was time for muster.

They needed to stay dressed for more pictures, so were taken to a private area for muster. The rest of us went to muster in our gowns and suits. We did get some strange looks. After muster, they took more pictures while we watched sail away. Oh and non sailing Guests left about 3:30. Her wedding was at 1:30 reception at 2:00. She gave Jill $125.00 for tips because we weren't sure who to tip or how much so we just asked her to handle it.

Because her reception was short she asked everyone to stay dressed for dinner. I wrote to John held asking if anytime dining could accommodate the 16 sailing guests and the set-up a private room for us that night. It was amazing. The ship really helped accommodate us.

After dinner we were all exhausted. The day started at 5 am with hair and make-up. We all got dressed on the ship but we had 4 cabins available because of the platinum and diamond cabins. Usually only 2 are available.

She used Fairy tale weddings in New Orleans and they were very caring and did a great job.

1 big problem we had was she saved her cake after her wedding dinner for the last night. She wanted a 3 tier cake so I upgraded for $50.00 so we had a lot of cake left. The last night after dinner she asked for her cake. The MDR staff made us sit for an hour after dinner whole they tried to find her beautiful yummy cake. To find out sometime during the cruise the cake was dropped. We wouldn't have been so upset if they would have just told us. Accidents happen, however, after the embarrassing wait they finally told her they were making her another cake. Remember she had 3 tiers all different flavors with very pretty decorations. So after everyone got tired of waiting and left the dining room, they brought her a generic cake. Not sure which flavor they chose. She started crying and we went to pack.

I called carnival when we got home and they are refunding me the extra layer I paid for. So it did help.

The wedding was beautiful, traditional, amazing and she had a rose ceremony. After the ceremony they took more pictures and used the snorkels and other props. It lasted about 20 minutes then off to the disco for the reception.

The reception went well. The food was amazing. She used the traditional menu and everything was good. Spring rolls were a big hit. I liked the empanadas. Her ice sculpture was a $75.00 up grade because she was only able to book the celebration package. We booked over 400 days out and celebrate big was already taken. At least she got the DJ though. Anyway her ice sculpture was starfish and it was amazing. The table was very pretty.

The only hitch at the reception was the rushed us into the disco and she had to have people sign her guest book later. So need less to say, she didn't get many cards in her advice box. The DJ sucked and didn't play the right songs when she wanted him to.but at least her first dance and father daughter dance was correct.

Her cabin was decorated very pretty with the swans and flower petals on the bed. I added the honeymoon decorations. When the photographer came he took everything off the bed :mad: to take pictures. At least he took a picture of it for the groom after my daughter requested it. Her took pictures getting ready, tying her dress, applying lipstick laying on the bed, with her bouquet and with me.

Then it was time to get married woohoo. We walked down to the burgundy lounge together with Jill. My husband came out of the lounge saw our daughter and immediately teared up. See I told you we needed Kleenex. In couldn't handle it so I took a few pictures and ran in the lounge before I started crying.

By this time the bridesmaids went to set-up for the wedding. She had an aisle runner, Kleenexes, and bells for the wedding. She had oot bags, a candy buffet, center pieces, card box, advice box, boxes with treats, her cake topper and cake decorations a bag of snorkels, and props for pictures. (yes we carried all that on plus bouquets and buttonieres and who knows what else lol) her 4 bridesmaids did a great job. The only thing they were told was they couldn't put the topper on on the cake because it was to heavy. So her maid of honor put it on last and ran lol. The chef put the beading and star fish on the cake. It was beautiful.

Then time for the groom 4 bridesmaids and 2 groomsmen flower girl and father of the bride to go to rehearsal. I stayed with the bride and the photographer called for pictures.

We just got back from my daughters wedding on the Dream January 4 2015. She had a absolutely amazing wedding.

Jill was her coordinator and Jill's husband performed the ceremony. My daughter did not want to see her soon to be husband so she arrived to the port first and was placed in a room with her bridesmaids. Then he rest of us came and embarkation was a mess. Some platinum and diamond and first time cruisers and then there were just wedding guests. No one had their cards in one place. The officiant stayed with the guests and Jill took charge of the bride. I follows in the rear to make sure everyone got on. Good thing I dd because the port workers have no clue when the guests didn't have papers, so I needed to explain what was happening and the would leave the ship after the wedding.

we also had way to much to carry. Carnival really needs to get a cart to help with weddings.

So finally on the ship. Groom took my cabin and I went to my daughters to help her with her gown. She was in a panic mode. Lol. Jill was great to calm her and I had to go apologize to her husband to be because she felt she trapped him and couldn't run away. He told me to tell her he wasn't going anywhere anyway.

my daughter is getting married in 2 1/2 weeks on the dream and still hasn't heard anything from them. I paid for the ice sculpture and cake to upgrade but they wouldn't send me a receipt. even the bonvoyage dept does that. Hope she has a spot lol

we call the wedding department a lot to see if they have any cancelation for the celebrate big package. we were told to call weekly so that is what we have been doing. maybe they are just sick of us:eek:

IS the Premium BVP package still a fruit basket wine water and photo gift cert?

Has the casino gone back to giving out BVP packages instead of cash. I emailed them last week and was told I was eligible for Premium BVP package. Is this still the same package as it was a few years ago?

I used to get 25-50 dollars but this has changed again. TIA

Deenie's is my favorite. But there are a lot of good places. Acme oyster house is good. Hopefully it will be warm enough for crawfish.

I also got an invitation to the diamond cocktail reception. Need 5 more cruises to diamond.
