  1. My daughter is getting married on the dream 1-2015. I want to thank everyone for all the help and ideas. You guys really helped to make her day special. I still have a question yet. What cabins are ready for an embarkation wedding. Are platinum and diamond cabins ready?

she is 2 weeks away from final call and does not want to request a cabin that my be ready anyways. (my husband and I are platinum and so is my son. so if they will be ready anyway she will request one of the new cruisers cabin.) TIA

  2. It is different on each ship and depends how many other diamond cruisers there are. Sometimes you are taken to the bridge to meet the captain and some times it is just a group meeting with drinks and snacks. The captain and senior crew will be there.

Also they call you up on stage at the past guest party.

  3. So my daughter is getting married Jan 4 2015 on the Dream. I called the wedding department to ask about fresh roses and candy for a candy buffet. They said absolutely not.

I cruise alot and knew I could take candy, so I called carnival and was told I can bring the roses and candy on but can't take them off. The roses will be dead in 7 days so she had no plans to take them off. She just wanted 2 roses for a rose exchange during her ceremony.

We are going to get real roses and articial roses and use what they allow us to bring on. Port of New Orleans is her port.

  4. Breached protocol? Until they say exactly what sort of protocol procedure this nurse breached.... I think saying " breached protocol" is just a CYA for the hospital. Looks like they want to blame the nurse.

However I would bet that there is enough blame for everyone involved to take a piece

Exactly easier to blame one person. I wonder how many nurses have been taught protocol. NOT MANY. I am a federal nurse and we do have a protocol but not one nurse has had formal training as of today.

  5. Either way, it doesn't matter to me I'll still going to cruise. But I think I will bring some bug spray. Whatever virus I had was worse than full blown influenza. I'm talking the REAL flu not a cold, or "stomach flu". You know the one that kills people. I had a confirmed case of that about 6 years ago and it was child's play compared to the nasty crap I had recently. Yep. Bug spray is in order.

If that is what you had you won't get it again. You are supposed to build up an immunity to it.

  6. We were on the Sunshine in February. No smells on deck 6 aft. Layout is kind of quirky but that gives her personality. Don't miss jiji's for sure that was the best. I loved the duck. Also the serenity area is the best. I heard people say it is noisy but if you go to the front of the ship it is serene.

We will miss her in New Orleans.
