Another thing that’s different on the Sky vs. Majestic is the number of drink offerings available through the Medallion Class app. There are very few offerings available on the Sky so I have to do most of my drinks through a crew member. I had 3 favorite drinks on the Majestic…..coconut mojito, pineapple mojito and a drink called Dunes. On the Majestic I could order these 3 drinks on the app but on the Sky I can’t.

Crown Bar can do a Dunes for you had one tonite.

Huh... I've seen many things on these boards over the years, but this is the first time I've ever seen anyone try to shame the victim of a drive-by scooting.

The person you refer to as the victim, needed to be shamed for her rude reaction. The poor older lady looked like she was close to tears over what had happened. Perhaps you will be that age someday and then you will understand.

  3. Enjoying this cruise  very much, glad to see the live report. Although the first night at the theater seen something that made me realize not everyone that is here should be. An older couple who both had scooters were leaving the lady accidentally backed into a chair that was occupied and slid it about a foot. The older lady was obviously  frustrated and worried. The lady who was in that chair stood up and glared at the poor woman. Never offered any help with the scooter, just moved her ample self over four chairs and plopped down. Before I could get up two other people jumped up and helped her out, her husband who was abit ahead of her came back and turned the scooter around. We stopped and visited with them a ways down the hallway, you could tell she was visibly shook up from the actions of said person . Yesterday seen an act of someone younger going out of their way to pick something up for an older person. Moral this act helped restore my faith in humanity, treat your elders with respect , for someday we will all be there who knows it may be me..

  4. Glad to hear about the to go cups, figured travel mug would be a no go. Probably do like in the past and order room service for four on the coffee, one cup each just does not cut it. Coffee and a roll on the balcony early morning, life does not get any better.

    Princess did provide the test.

Glad to hear this as we are also doing a side to side the following day. Have followed this question closely most post's seemed to confirm no problem getting a test before leaving ship. Back in August I had a call from Princess confirming that we could get tested before leaving ship, saved it on voicemail. We will also have our Abbot Binax test kits as a backup. As an old Scout I like to leave nothing to chance. Wife is so looking forward to being on a ship again, that I would hate to see the storm that would arise if she cannot get on board.😉😀

This is a very interesting post.  Look at post #21 here and see if post #21 is consistent at all with post #32.  Post # 21 falls squarely in the category of ridicule.  How can somebody ridicule others in one post and later pontificate that we should be thoughtful of other peoples feelings?  Very strange indeed. 😵

Sarcasm not ridicule, besides tinfoil hats were not directed at any particular person. Perhaps after I have made thousands of posts in a mere four years I will stop making sarcastic posts, that is my final say on the subject . Have a nice night and enjoy your cruise.

  7. This is starting to go beyond ridiculous, Every one is entitled to an opinion. If you don't agree perhaps it is best to type out your thoughts then delete them before posting. Lets all be thoughtful of other peoples feelings and just do what we all want to do CRUISE.

I've been reading about the Ocean Medallion technology and see that it has some beneficial features when you are traveling in groups.  When I read about the information about it keeps about you and the people you travel with long after the voyage, it really concerns me.  You seem to give them permission to use other people's information in your group to learn about you and they take information from you to learn about you.  That applies not only for this trip but forever more!  Scary because they can use if for any "lawful, legitimate business purpose".

I don't know if others have concerns.  I know in the past lots of sites collected a bunch of information, wifi was free but unsecure, and people in general have gotten burned with unrestricted access to personal information.  As we know, laws got put into place after problems developed and it has gotten a bit better.  I think the Medallion is another example of making personal information available without conditions will need to change.  Love to hear other views!!!

When you are around the ship, there are 7,000 sensors so they know exactly where you are at all times.  They say there is no way to turn it off, stop and chat with someone, they know who.  Look at a painting they know and will share it with the vendor no matter when you stop to look and for years after.

Can we as in the past refill our own coffee cup in the buffet area, or has that gone by the wayside. Will be on the Sky in Nov, like so many others it has been so long am feeling like a new cruiser.😄.

Guess I should have been more specific, when filling my personal cup I have always used one of the ships cups then placed it with the used utensils and dishes. Like some others a regular size cup does not suffice. For those who like to take a cup back to their cabin, order room service. Coffee comes in a nice carafe, use your imagination for the next days coffee.

We have found on occasion if we arrive abit late all of the good seats are taken. Also sometimes the seats on the ship are to hard or to soft. Sometimes the shows are to long, some to short. Once and awhile we do not care for the entertainment but feel it is in bad taste to leave.😉😁. Please let every thing fall into place so we can board in November it has been to long.

Who are these 'many passengers' that you speak for?

My observation: you generally have to arrive very early to get a seat.

If only ... many passengers decided to miss the show!

Pack some foam earplugs.  They weigh nothing.

It would have to be monitored and I would rather just be tested on Regal Princess the last day.

We were told that we could be tested on Princess as we also board Hal the day after our cruise with Princess ends. This was over a week ago in a call with Princess customer service. To be on the safe side we are also taking our own test with us just in case. I have read on Princess protocols that they will be testing after the cruise at the port. Although the way I read this was for people who need a test to fly home. The constant changes one needs to check web site every day to keep up with everything. Nothing against staying safe but CDC is really making cruising tough. Hopefully Princess and Hal will follow the lead of other lines and test at the port.

It’s the CDC requiring this, cruise lines don’t have a choice if they want to sail out of the US.

Wow another post to add to the growing total.  Question marks and winks denote sarcasam. Thanks for enlightening all of us. Just blowing off abit of steam over constantly changing rules, tired of hearing wife complain about possibly not getting on a ship again this year. I keep telling her every time we take the boat out fishing it is as good as a cruise, she is not believing me anymore.😄😁.
