Thanks! That is true 4 hours in the sun is enough! Do you know if the shops would be open before we got a taxi to a beach?

We are sailing on the Magic and the time in Port is 7 to 3. Would that mean Cozumel time is really 6 to 2 if we stay on ship time? Doesn't seem like enough time to go to a beach so would appreciate it knowing what everyone else does for beach time on that schedule?? Thanks!!

I have been curious about this too. I would like to know if in the pay restaurants you have to make reservations or if you can just show up and wait like MTD. Thanks!!

We wondering the same thing. Our ship is in port from 7 to 3 so we will be first in but way too early. Does anyone know if we get right off ship would anything even be open? Been there a few times but never so early. Thanks!!

DH won 3600 playing video poker, and we got a check and then 1099 mailed to us. Did not have to clear going through customs. We were happy!

We are cruising in October and I am wondering if we should book a cruise while we are sailing. What are the pluses/minus of doing that? Thanks for your help!

I live some what near the Fisherman's Net (Grill) and the food is really great but no way if I was on a cruise would I go there. We get it for take out and go home and enjoy it. I would want to be near the water and the views of the Portland waterfront which are so beautiful and right where you will be docking. So many great restaurants a walk from where the ship docks. We go to Great Lost Bear and again great for different beers and food but if I was in Portland for the day I would enjoy the Old Port and the waterfront.

We can't sleep without one! So we always bring a fan for vacations whether it's a cruise or a hotel. We have a 8 inch one that we put in our luggage with an extension cord and it is delivered right to our cabin. No problem!!

FTTF to get on as early as possible so we can drop off carry on, get spa pass and check out the ship before it's so crowded. Best part of cruise is waking up early and sitting on our balcony reading and enjoying the views and quiet. Well worth it getting up so early.

We paid $239 for a 7 day on the Magic. This was for the 2 of us.
My 169 for 7 and 189 for 8 was just for myself. Well worth it I think!

I have used Cortrans twice now and will choose them again. $40 RT from port to MCO.
Cortrans was one I was looking at too! Think I will book that one. So thanks so much for letting me know they are good!!

Great review!! I was wondering what shuttle you used going back to the airport. We were planning on using meats but now not sure?? Also, I was curious about the seating in the steakhouse. I hate those tables for 2 that are 4 inches apart. Is that all they have there for 2 people?
Thanks!!

how much does a spa pass cost for a 8 day cruise?
It's 189 for 8 day and 169 for 7 day.

Thanks everyone for your help! We hardly ever have a drink during the day so stockpiling would work for us. We love sitting on our balcony having drinks before dinner and ending the night out there too! We also bring our on cooler.

We have been sailing Carnival and we are able to buy beer through the Fun Shops and its delivered to our cabin before we board. I checked the RC website and I don't see that you can purchase beer. We would be buying the drink package for both of us so is it allowed to get a bucket of beer to bring back to our balcony to enjoy there since we can't order it for our cabin?? Or are you only able to order 1 at a time? Thanks for your help!!

We go back and forth on this too but Lido deck for us always wins out! I use the spa but DH does not. Also, we love Lido because it's close to get a drink or food to bring back to our balcony. I get a pass as soon as we board so it works perfect for us!

We have been lucky enough to get FTTF for all our cruises so we go to our cabin and drop off carry on's first. Then we go directly to the Spa to get me a pass for the week. We like to go to Guys on Lido or get Indian Food which is in the back if it's on your ship. After that get a feel for the ship and go to all the different decks and check out the venues. Love looking at everything before it gets too crowded. Have fun!!!!

How close is the seating in the steakhouse on the Magic? Does anyone have photos of how the tables are? Or maybe comment if it's a table for 2 but the tables are so close you feel like you are eating with other people? On the Breeze which we loved we went early and got a table that was ok and the Glory had really great seating for 2.
Thanks for your help!!
