  1. Does anyone know how long it takes to get approved for the credit card? We only use 1 credit card to accumulate as many points as possible on it. We have excellent credit so that wouldn't be a problem. I would only want to get the new card for the promotion so I wouldn't want to apply for it unless I know that the sale was going to happen. So if the sale was starting Thanksgiving night I wouldn't apply till then. Would we get approved quick enough to get the promotion? Thanks for any help!

  2. Thank you for your honest review! Our kids are grown (twins too but 35 years old!) but I can understand how frustrating the camp would be. No Mom wants their kids unhappy! Also, our dinners we have found have taken almost 2 hours too and I think that is a long time. On the Glory the cabin we had was really hot one night and they gave us an on board credit without us even saying anything! There was a letter in our cabin stating there was a problem. Hopefully your next cruise will be better!!

  3. Loved your blog!! And thanks for the great review. DH and I have thought about this ship but not being able to see the ocean makes us not want to try it. It's one of the reasons we cruise and I know we would miss it. Ship kinda reminds me of Las Vegas and we have been there many times and do enjoy the food and shows but would rather have a cruise be all about the ocean and islands.

  4. New Orleans and the itinerary of this cruise were the primary reasons we chose the Dream. I'd have no qualms sailing it again. I did feel like the token northerner though :) Most everyone was from down south with a lot of folks from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. I guess proximity to the port is the main reason for that. It was interesting as the south is one area of the US I haven't spent a lot of time in. I'd been to Texas before, but never to New Orleans. I think now I've been to about 44 states with the ones I haven't been to all in the South (and Hawaii).

Thanks for the review! We are from Maine and can't wait to try the Dream which we will next April! We have always wanted to go to New Orleans so we will go 3 days before we cruise and are very excited to tour the city.

I would appreciate it if you would please let me know what hotel you stayed in. We are booked in the Drury. Was there alot of music at night?? Also, we have FTTF and get it so I can get the pass to the Spa for the week. Had the pass on the Breeze and loved it. Did you go to the spa?? Thanks for your help!!

  5. Thanks for your honest review! We were on the Breeze and had the same problem with lines and a long time at dinner. We also used the buffet more because of that but it didn't really bother us. We don't cruise for the food. We had a great cruise just like you! We just avoided the places where there were lines. We are booked on the Dream next April but the last week and hopefully because it isn't around school vacations it won't be as crowded.

  6. As for the smoke, we were also aft and I could smell it. Like I said, it didn't ruin the cruise but I won't do that again.

We will be on Lido deck portside and I sure don't want to smell smoke! I thought smoking was allowed on starboard side not portside. We choose portside because of this and haven't smelled smoke on the Lido deck our 2 previous cruises. Do you think because we are up higher that is why we haven't smelled it??

    Anyone else know? Thanks!!

  7. Sailed on both and loved them! There is not a Red Frog Pub on Glory which we really liked on the Breeze and missed on Glory. But entertainment on Glory and Breeze was great. Glory was smaller so easy to get around. If I had to choose and price was the same then I would choose Breeze.
