I was asking for Michael Bayley's email for my friend who had a serious issue that arose with a Future Cruise booking that was made on a recent sailing. She shared the details with me and asked me for the President of Royal Caribbean's email address. I told her that she would likely hear from one of the assistants, and she was fine with that.

Is Rhapsody scheduled for a drydock in October 2019? If so, does anyone know the dates?

I have been on both Anthem and Grandeur, and between the two, Anthem wins hands down. I actually have never been a fan of the bigger ships, but Anthem is so outstanding I'd pick it again in a heartbeat over Grandeur. We had a standard balcony cabin, and it was the largest and most comfortable cabin we've ever had on any ship. There are many dining options, lots of shows (book in advance,) a beautiful and high-tech ship. Loved, loved, loved it. Cruising in and out of Bayonne was vastly improved from our last experience there 10 years ago. The new terminal made check in and debarkation among the fastest we have ever experienced. I wouldn't hesitate to sail on her again. I would not rush to sail on Grandeur again.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great cruise.

We were on Anthem last week for 9 days, our first time on this class of ship. IMO, the Royal Esplanade on Anthem is too short for the number of passengers on the ship. Whenever shows let out, and every time sale tables were set up (every sea day and every evening!) it was way too crowded. This is the only design flaw on this otherwise fantastic ship. That said, don't let that deter you from booking this ship, or others in this class. We loved Anthem.

Hotels at the airport will likely be a cost saver, versus other areas such as South Beach. Don't avoid ships sailing from Miami. It's a great city to spend a day or two pre or post cruise.

Staying on the ship while most people are off the ship is a great day. You have the pool to yourself, have a quiet lunch, get a massage (usually there are good discounts while the ship is in port,) and just enjoy the relaxed pace of the day.

Last year we bought Delsey hard-sided spinners. We have two 25" suitcases, and one 22-incher. I have been very Happy with them.

This review is one of the most enjoyable that I've read in a long time. Loved the writing style, the humor, all the sidebar comments, and yes, even the whining. What a hoot! I especially loved how Sharse and #theboy, no doubt, made wonderful memories--even in light of some pretty bad things happening. After all, it CBW:D

We will be disembarking Anthem at Port Liberty on Sept. 1st, and will need to get to Newark airport. Since our flight isn't until 4:30 in the afternoon, we are hoping to stay on the ship as late as possible until they throw us off. We thought we'd take Uber or Lyft to the airport, but if we can't, will there still be taxis hanging around at the terminal?

Yes, your C&A number is exactly like your Carnival VIFP number.....It shows your "loyalty" level with the cruise line.

You can call the C&A number at 800-526-9723. If you don't already have a number, they will assign one to you.

We no longer consider the dining experience on Royal something even remotely special. But I would say the same for the other mass market cruise lines we've sailed in recent years--Celebrity, Carnival, and MSC. The specialty restsurants on all of those cruises were hit and miss. All that said, the only cruise line with at least a decent buffet dining option was on MSC. Their pizza was fabulous. I actively stay away from the Windjammer buffet on Royal.
