Ooops!! I just wanted to correct my comment. I said CARIBE…. We’re on BAJA!! We normally get a cabin on Caribe, but not this time.

We are in the 600s on CARIBE and now have TWO down the hall that were not there this morning. I’m thinking more NORO than Covid…. But hey, what do I know. I think I’ll stay on my balcony tomorrow!!

We ate at LeiLani’s by the Sea today. Leilani’s, Hula Grill and Kimos, all owned by the same corporation, and all have great food!! We also had HULA pie today

Curious why you think the patio footstool would mean someone is sick?? we have a balcony on deck 11, that there were NO footstools, so I asked our Room Steward for 2… we were in and he dropped them off. Maybe the same issue??? But, they left it at the door???

Aloha!! we are also looking forward to this cruise! I believe we have also cruised to Hawaii around 14 times, mostly Princess, but also HAL, Celebrity, and Queen Victoria. We have friends and family on the Islands and will get to spend some time with them. We were just there in March, but missed two ports, Kauai and Maui. We've seen just about everything we want on the Islands over the years, so no excursions... but, we are renting a car on HILO, and other than that... we'll just see how it goes once we get there. I was also surprised at the extra SEA DAY, but gladly welcome it. In years past, KONA was a 5th stop with a night cruise by the Volcano, but they seem to have stopped that a few years go. This will be our FIRST time on the Emerald and are looking forward to the larger ship.

Not a necessity... but we have new grandchildren, and it's nice to keep in touch with them, send and receive photos, etc. BUT the real need is, we are self employed and get emails and phone calls requesting info on our business. And the reason I stay in business at age 75?? It's so I can CRUISE more....

I have heard that before, that Princess is the cheapest. I guess the thing that bothers me, prior to COVID, Elite got a certain number of minutes for FREE, then our first cruise after Covid (March 2023), the Elite price was $150 for 4 device, which is now $320.00. So I guess it's not the price as much as it is how quick it's been raised. We only cruised two months ago... and now BOOM... double the price. We'll just pair down to one device and move on. We like to keep in tough with our kids and grandkids when gone

not a drinker... so the extra money is wasted. still cheaper to pay Wifi and gratuities. We'll just get one device this time and not get plans for our IPADS....

It shows the price for 4 devices is $640, now $320 with Elite discount, and 1 device is $240, new $120 with discount. Last time we had 2 IPAD and 2 IPHONES on the plan at $150 for 15 days. We'll just get one device on the plan this time.

Rick/Jeannie, I think that's the whole deal... they are raising the individual prices on items, trying to force people into the PLUS packages. Problem is... I drink very little alcohol, and don't drink sodas. So the packages are a waste of money for me and my wife. It's still cheaper for us to prepay gratuities and buy and Wifi package, so we'll continue with that for now. Should be a GREAT CRUISE!!

how many days is your cruise?? Shorter cruises are cheaper, our Hawaii is 16 days, so it's more... but as mentioned, we took the same cruise in March at it was $150 for both of us!! The price has doubled!!

WOW.... can't believe the Wifi rates doubled! As Elites, we paid $150 (4 devices) for 15 days to Hawaii back in March of this year. Taking the same cruise in July (16 days), the cost is now $320.00 for 4 devices!! UNREAL!

Planning our FIRST cruise on the Discovery and from what I can see, the BALCONIES are small. But, I've noticed a few that have extended or ANGLED balconies in the Mini Suite area. Caribe Cabins 414, 415, 409, 410... other decks have similar. Are these mini suite balconies actually larger??? Thanks

Every Island has a Hilo Hatties... it's the Walmart of the Hawaiian Islands!! AND, they have Walmarts and Costco also on every Island

HA!!! There are ALWAYS FREE Shuttles to Hilo Hatties. BUT, Hattie's is WALKING distance from the Tender drop off point. It's located in Lahaina Town in an OUTLET shopping center. At least it was in FALL 2019.

This is our first cruise using the MEDALLION APP and Green Lane status. We went to the APP to request a boarding time, but there was not an ELITE option. Do ELITES still get Priority Boarding??

Yes, I realize there is a PINNED post regarding this topic, but I've search and haven't found answers.. We are on the CROWN in MARCH and we're trying to make some dining decisions Questions for those who have already used DINE MY WAY... we have cruised many times on Princess, but this is the first since MEDALLION and Dine my Way.from what I am reading, you still have to wait in line and a table is still not guaranteed, even if you make a REZ on the APP. Is that correct?? 1) Do you like the DaVinci or Botticelli better? We have always used Anytime Dining and ate at DaVinci. 2) We like to dine alone. Have they added more tables for 2 since Covid? 3) Any recommendations on time? we usually went at 5pm when they opened. Any benefit for going at 5:20??4) Any other tips??

Since the PRICE HIKE, I'd like to prepay a few things like Wifi and Gratuities.. IF.... for some unlikely reason we need to cancel our cruise, I assume it's all Refundable??
