  1. I am considering the Trekker policy thru GeoBlue. My understanding is that you can buy this policy at any time before travelling, i.e. you don't have to buy it within a certain time of putting down your deposit for pre-existing coverage to apply. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Also, I'm not tech savvy and do not have a smart phone. Would I need that to run this app that lists the doctors?

    Appreciate any input on this!

  2. Cruisemom, I'd love a copy of notes pertaining to Herculaneum, as that's where we want to go in Oct. Can you please send them to me at

clarann65 at gmail.com. Thanks so much!

  3. Bill, this is a great review and I'm enjoying reading it. Hope you continue to have a wonderful trip!

Peg, you have and I have alot in common. We also did the Marksburg Castle last year and it was a rigorous "walk/hike" to get around it. We're doing the same Rhine as you, only late Oct, and my DH also has some foot problems now, so we're thinking of just staying on board when we are there. A handful of folks did that last year when we visited.

I also see you have Bordeaux planned for 2014, and we're looking into that as well, although it will be early Nov for us. Seems like we are travelling in the same circles!

  4. What a wonderful review - thanks so much for sharing it!

We're on the 10/25 sailing. I'm wondering if there are quiet places to read. I know with a huge shipload of folks we will never get truly away except in our own room. And we don't actually mind people mulling about which we can tune out. But I dislike when every venue has piped in music, like we had on RCCL. So any "quiet" places you can suggest....oh, and I don't like to be out in the sun, so indoors, if possible! Thanks.

  5. Katakolon also has a shop with the olive wood bowls and salad fork and spoon. I love the salad servers I got. They wash up nicely and still look new.

In Nice, I got an "everyday" tablecloth for about 15E. It was made in Italy and has pictures of olive trees on it. Someone else in our tour group found a great tablecloth in St. Paul de Vence also. It was a better quality and also more expensive.
