Good afternoon it is 60°F and partly cloudy here now.
Thank you for today's daily Rich and care reports and celebrations Roy.
VJ day was certainly a day to remember and celebrate.
Coconut is nice plus I always try and buy Coconut shower gel as it has a lovely smell.
Until 5 minutes ago I hadn't heard of Calendar Adjustment day.
Nice drink today but not sure of the food.
We visited Heraklion Crete on Navigator of the seas in May 2013.
I hope everyone is safe from hurricane Ida and all the floods I saw on our news this morning.
Take care and stay safe.
Graham.

Done that one a couple of times Great Time .....My last cruise was on Feb 1 this year on the Sumitt and I think it might be the last one I'm not in a hurry to get back on a ship We have been on over 25 cruises and will wait to see what future cruising is like before will get on the next one

Part of the problem with this question is nobody knows what cruising is going to look like when it does return . We have done 25 cruises over the years and enjoyed every one Not so sure that I'm ready for what the future cruise will be like ?????

We would love to sail on an Oasis Class ship with 1/2 or 1/3 full. We would gladly pay more for this.
The problem is ....How many other people will pay more and how much more????????

Atrial fibrillation is not life threatening...many have it occasionally, some have it permanently and some even with permanent Afib have no restrictions and only know they have it because of an irregular pulse. It's risk is an increased risk of stroke, although with blood thinners and control of any high blood pressure, the risk is still quite low. It certainly is not transmittable to others and there is no difference treating a person with Afib or no Afib for stroke.
Ablation involves poking a hole through parts of the heart....and may have more risk than just living with Afib. There are similar decisions about prostate cancer...sometimes the treatment carries more risk.....and even untreated, it isn't going to cause a significant problem on a cruise. The risks from severe obesity and diabetes causing problems on a cruise may well be higher than someone with Afib.
I doubt that Princess will actually stop someone with Afib from travel....and many other conditions will also not be a problem.
OP....since cruising is still in limbo...I'd wait for the dust to settle before making any decisions, even if you are getting what I'd call guesses from folks at Princess. They will figure out that they don't need a doctor's note for those over 70, etc.....and they won't have sweeping medical restrictions.
Hang in there....
Thanks for explanation of Afib is .. My wife has it and has had two ablations the first one corrected the problem for a couple of years but the afib came back and she a second one last December and she is and was able to cruise last February We had a lenghty discussion with her surgeon and he said there is no reason to cancel our cruise

Just my humble opinion: Until sports start happening in the USA with fans in attendance, cruising will not happen.
The NFL is already working on a plan for the entire 2020 season being played in empty stadiums. The NCAA has been working on a plan to “red shirt” all fall sports athletes like they already did for the spring athletes. Until these activities return to normal, I just do not see cruising coming back.I have been NFL season ticket holder for many years Cannot see have having people in the Stands . Just the problem of getting 60 to 80 thousand fans in the stadium is insane Can't see it happening I'm certainly not going to take the risk

I predict they may put less people on the ships to start off with but before long everyone will realize this virus isn't half as bad as the media is making it out to be. We will all be back to normal cruising by fall.
Quick question The Media made it it out to worse than it is ???? How many people died in this country ????? Everything will be back to normal by the Fall ?????

Not sure it makes much diff - at first sign of an issue any patient will be off loaded to the nearest port/facility.
You do know that that that next port may two or more days away ????

I wonder if the poll was started now, would the distribution of responses be any different?
I think that it would be a lot different. One thing to consider is what is cruising going to be in the future It is not going be the same My guess is will have to go up in price and lord only knows what else will change

Agreed but to me, the ships will sail less than full capacity. What the number becomes, remains to be seen. We would gladly pay more for a ship 1/2 capacity or less. More exclusive.
The real question . How much more are you willing to pay ???? Secondly what is going to go away At this point nobody knows what the new cruise is going to look like

Our last cruise was on the Summit on Feb 1st. with a group ( The Miracle Waiters ) that we have been cruising with every year since 2009. We met on Cruise Critic back in 2007 to plan our cruise on the Miracle in 2009
The Summit cruise had 60 members from our original group as well as many people that have joined along the way We have become a a cruising family and very close friends We had a wonderful time but I think that may be be our last cruise with them as we are over 70 and perhaps are cruised out
If you want to see who the Waiters are look up " Miracle Waiters " on utube there a a few clips of our group

History shows that life went on and returned back to normal after the last big pandemic of the 1919 Spanish Flu. I doubt this one will be much different.
Not to take a shot are you but that was over 100 years ago and the world has changed quite a bit since then . That being said I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT

Actually, in more than two months, the two ships by Princess that were affected, only one was here in the US.
So I question your 'rate that this is going'. Can you show me your math of how you calculated this dangerous rate.
I'm not attacking you, let me be clear. But at some point, ppl should start looking at the numbers for themselves.
Go on a Cruise Don't like the ODDS I'll pass

Based on these two choices, I would choose the Magic. We've been on the Vista and did not like it. Since the Horizon is a sister ship to the Vista, we have zero interest in cruising on the Horizon. We have a cruise booked on the Magic coming up in about four weeks (can't wait!) and another booked on the Magic for next year. While the cruise terminal in FLL is nothing fancy, I like it much better than Miami. Less hectic and better organized for embarkation and debarkation. Also, if you're flying to the port city, FLL's airport is smaller and easier to navigate then Miami's airport. And, while Nassau isn't my most favorite port, I like that itinerary better than the other one on the Horizon. Since we've never used the spa, I can't answer your question about the amenities.
You took the words right out of my mouth. It's Magic
