It’s a day of finishing packing and saying goodbye to our ship mates. Tomorrow we have a 11:30 AM flight to ATL and another 45 min flight home. If all goes well we should be home by 7:30 PM.

Rather grayish day outside but we did see a couple of whales. Last night’s late rain brought Saharan dirt with it so the ship needs a good wash down. 
First days at home will be busy with dental and dr. appointments, shopping and omg the mail and unpacking.

The Onward crew put on a nice event for World Voyagers this morning. A French Champagne breakfast on deck 11 forward as we sailed into Monte Carlo harbor. French Champagne and fancy breakfast type appetizers. A chance to say goodbye to the friends we have meant and spent most of this year with.

We were able to dock in harbor amongst the mega yachts and there has been quite the parade of mega yachts coming and going.

I have enjoyed sharing this wonderful voyage with all of you. The crew has been fantastic and if your booked on Onward rest assured your in for a treat. I would highly recommend an Azamara World Voyage if you’re Blessed like us and have the time and means to do so.

Beautiful day here in Monte Carlo. One of the nice perks about our ship is that the Onward is small enough to be able to dock in harbor amongst the mega yachts.

Mega yachts indeed and some that have passed by are worth over $150 million. Our beautiful yacht is bigger then theirs!😄

We started packing and left for lunch and wine.🥲

The crew had a nice event this morning for World Voyagers. Champagne breakfast on top deck outdoors as we sailed into Monte Carlo. Real fancy breakfast appetizers and French Champagne.

We are here until ten PM and will have the harbor rocking as we have White Night party.

Tomorrow is a sea day then we sadly disembark and fly home.

What a great cruise it has been. We are so Blessed to be able go on such an adventure.

Our pasta cooking class was fantastic at a beautiful venue with fantastic grounds and surreal scenery.

Would love to just visit there and enjoy one of their ten guest accommodations.

It was a beautiful day in Sorrento, Italy. We had a private tour that took us to Pompeii, a winery for lunch and to Herculaneum. I’ll post the pics separately of Herculaneum so it doesn’t get confused with Pompeii.

It definitely is summer and tourism is booming.

Tonight we have opera singers onboard as we sail toward Rome.

The winery was a beautiful venue with grand views of Vesuvius and the Aegean Sea.

Time to meet friends for cocktails followed by dinner. Thanks for reports. These busy port days hasn’t given much time for keeping up with The Daily. Bruce

We are at sea on our way to Sorrento. As of noon we have traveled 37,900 Nautical miles since leaving Florida.

Need to spend some OBC or lose so we will check out the shop and some good wines. Already have a spa appointment and have a new Bulova watch.

Going to Pompeii and Herculaneum tomorrow on a private tour. It’s been forty years since I visited Pompeii.

Today is a sea day as we sail to Sorrento tomorrow. Here on the Onward, with only five days remaining we are savoring every moment.

Just counting our Blessings that we have the means to do such a wonderful adventure.

Looking forward to our next Azamara cruise on Journey in January; back to backs around South America, Antarctica, Rio Carnival and Amazon. Miami to Miami.

Sailing Azamara has been like sailing Prisendam on steroids. Seven Hundred capacity and no casino. Smartest move we have done is branching out and trying new lines.

We loved our 500 days on Holland America and will probably cruise again. 

Good morning folks. Today we are in beautiful Kotor, Montenegro. One of the most picturesque sail in’s around. Back is improving but I took another excursion day off versus aggravating sitting in a mini van for majority of the day. Though it’s little overcast with periodic light rain the view is spectacular. Tomorrow is a sea day as we wind down the six days of our voyage.

In Dubrovnik, Croatia today. We had a private day long excursion but my back has been acting up so I have stayed onboard to rest up. Sue is on it. I believe the long car ride yesterday was the cause.  Tonight’s is our Azamazing Evening so may attend that. It’s a nice day here but weather report calls for 80% chance of rain around 6:00 PM. We’ll see if that changes plan.

Just had a light lunch and I’m headed for a nap.
