It wouldn’t be. My granddaughter first ordered from the adult menu when she was 6. First time she ate shrimp and calamari. Loves both of them.
This was with the UDP in the specialty restaurants. Not sure if they follow the rules there but it states kids must order from the kids menu.

Is this the same as excursions? I booked excursions for a 2 and 3 year old which were free, but they'll be 3 and 4 at time of the cruise.
It probably is. I had no luck changing it with them pre cruise so I stopped trying. My son ordered from the adult menu and it was never questioned.

Nope. It's a glitch.
That's what I said

Sadly everything in their system is based on current age, not age at sailing. We booked the UDP for our last sailing and my son was 12 when we booked it but 13 at sailing. We were charged the kid rate for him and when I tried to explain the situation on the phone, they did not understand. Not saying you can't get it done before her birthday but good luck. If you booked with a TA, maybe have them discuss it.

Only have 1 recent experience a month ago on Oasis. Everything came back wrinkled and looked terrible. Almost like it dried and then later it was folded. I'm guessing they were short staffed so it might be a one off.

Are you leaving today or the 1st?

We saw shorts at dinner in the specialty restaurants. Not many, but a few. Dress shorts for lunch is no problem.

Shows all good. Except for (wait for it…..)
Cats. They cancelled mid week due to “technical difficulties”. We interpreted that as COVID related.
When we were on Oasis 3 weeks ago, a performance was delayed due to issues with the moveable platforms on the stage. The large middle stage that pops up, wouldn't retract. That obviously messes with choreography. Could be that, could be Covid, could be other.

We just booked our first "free" cruise. It was for an inside but since this was an Alaska cruise we wanted a balcony. Difference in price online between inside to balcony was about $1100. The charge to upgrade our inside to balcony was $600 total. Was planning on having to pay the rack rate difference and was pleasantly surprised that the casino upgrade price was less.

Could make some outside decks a little unusable on some days if sailing into the wind. If sailing downwind, the deck wind may be barely noticeable. Seas will be hit or miss but those winds are not excessive for ships this side. I definitely wouldn't cancel. Enjoy.

And like I stated in the video, they ran out of oysters by night 3 of our 4 night cruise. I feel sorry for the people who wanted to give the oysters a try on nights 3 and 4. We were lucky enough to get to at least try them on our sea day lunch. (They were also on the smaller side for oysters)
After day 3 or 4, you don't want raw oysters. 🤮

Was on the same cruise. Also was surprised by no bourbon. Enjoyed rye instead. Look around though. Came across some Buffalo Trace at the wipeout bar. Needless to say, that became my favorite bar when open.

I have purchased a refreshment drink package for myself. If I order a drink (non alcoholic), will they automatically take it from the refreshment package or will I need to tell that. I plan on using the diamond drink vouchers for alcoholic drinks and I don't want them charging against the diamond drink voucher for a non alcoholic drink. I am just wondering if I need to specifically say I am using the refreshment drink package each time?
I was in the exact same situation 3 weeks ago. I never told anyone specific instructions and never had an issue. Might want to mention the refreshment package I suppose when ordering just in case but for me it didn't matter.

I bid $110 pp to go from an inside cabin to a balcony and was notified that I got it today, for a 4 night cruise which leaves Tuesday on Mariner. An interesting warning - they don't seem to update your luggage tag images right away, so I guess you have to wait until the website gears grind for a day or more before re-printing them. The boarding pass updates immediately. You don't really want your bags being taken to the wrong cabin on the wrong deck.
The porters can hand write a tag with the proper room at the pier if it doesn't update. Did this with no issue 3 weeks ago

I’m referring to the outside noise while on the balcony.
We just sailed on deck 8 and didn't hear a thing. Not 9 but pretty close.

Do you happen to know what happens if you have 3 guests in a cabin?
Only charged for the first 2 guests. The 3rd (and more) is included without additional fee

As soon as you board, head to Central Park and go into one of the specialty restaurants (not all will be available) and make your reservations for the entire week, lunch and dinner. Whichever one is open can make reservations for ANY restaurant. Also take advantage of Playmakers and Portside BBQ which also are included on the UDP. Enjoy

I say show up, and don't ask questions

Is the casino still offering a free cruise if you get 800 points on one cruise?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
I received a free cruise through the 800 point promotion back in March just before the promo ended. We used it to book an Alaska cruise later this year. I continue to get new free cruise offers but I'm not sure if these are in addition to the other one or if their systems doesn't recognize that I already booked a free cruise. Too busy to book multiple cruises this year but it is intriguing.
