We will have a car since we are driving down but we have friends who will be taking the complimentary transfer from the hotel to the port since it's included in the package.

City Walk is so much fun - I would definitely stay at Universal before heading to the port. We love Pat O'Brien's dueling pianos entertainment and never miss a chance to take that in. We are actually doing a trip with the RCI Universal/Enchantment cruise package in Dec. My ulterior motive is Harry Potter World though ;)

Amish country and Baltimore Inner Harbor are both interesting and worth the time. Which is more interesting to you and your family? Parking at the Port in Baltimore is one of the easiest ports to negotiate - will not be an issue at all.

We paid for an hour of drinks & hors d'oeurves after the ceremony & my TA paid for the dinners as a perk. We had 2 "nearly professional" photographer friends as guests for pictures and one of my dear friends performed a song dedicated to us. One of our friends bought us flowers & we paid nothing for the room. A far cry for the RCI package cost.

For our 25th a few years back we had our TA arrange a "do-it-yourself" Vow Renewal for us and our 25 guests for a fraction of the cost. We had a family member do the vows in a reserved ship lounge, followed by drinks/snacks immediately afterward and then a dinner for everyone in Portofino's. It was beautiful!

I almost always need to work from the ship regardless of the speed of the internet. My company pays for the unlimited package and I am easily able to log into my work PC from the ship using the Citrix product - GoToMyPC - with no issues.

We just did the Boston Duck Tour on our most recent cruise and LOVED it - and we are not kids lol. Our driver was so much fun, very knowledgeable and his spiel was a hoot! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
-
I'm sure I have pics somewhere - I will look for them when we get back from our cruise next week. I do remember they had costume contests for both adults and kids and there were some really spectacular ideas!

We were on Oasis for Halloween two years ago and it was AMAZING! So many decorations and a huge parade/party on Halloween night in the Promenade. You will absolutely love it!

I take care of the "matching shoes" problem with OneSole sandals. One base with various snap-on tops to match outfits. The tops take up almost no space. Those with flip flops and my Reeboks do the trick.

I did give up and called directly to book my beverage package so I could pay it off in advance. But I truly resent having to waste time on hold on a phone call when if the website were working properly, it could be booked in 3 min.
-
I wish that had been my problem - but I double-checked every time that I tried to enter a card that all the fields were properly filled out.:(
-
I am having the exact same issue - glad to know it's not just me! And I keep getting the marketing emails encouraging me to book my beverage packages. I will wait until I'm onboard but I really wanted to pay it off in advance.

It's not far at all - just a few minutes. I was able to easily make it with a bad hip and a cane without straining myself.

We did it twice several years ago - once in St. Thomas and once in Cozumel. The water was much clearer in Cozumel but in both instances the experiences were very enjoyable. The divers with us would show us things like starfish and sea urchins as well as feed fish so they would swarm around our helmets for photo ops. An underwater camera enhances the experience.
-
Take the Cozumel Bar Hop - best time EVER! Not offered on the ship -just google to find their website.
-
You will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to the TWT from your tour director at the beginning of the land tour. We did this last year on our RCI Cruisetour - easy peasy.
-
Nope! Easiest port we've ever parked at. Close to the terminal and plenty of room.
-
I completely agree with DesertBelle! I would never be without my trusted TA for all of those reasons!
-
We did that excursion and it was wonderful! I totally agree that it's best to book through the cruiseline though. Perhaps it will be offered closer to your cruise?
-
We dislike having to be dependent on shuttles as we want to be on the road as quickly as possible for the long drive home. We use the port parking and have had no issues - the lot was right across the street from the terminal. It is worth the extra $$ to us!
-
First thing in the morning on the day of the specific excursion.
-
We were given our tickets for any of our excursions before the event - not all at the beginning of the trip.

We have this itinerary booked for 2016 but we took a similar Cruisetour with RCI last August. The RCI documentation we received prior to the Cruisetour contained very detailed information about departure and arrival times, hotels and included tours at each stop. I used the Shore Excursion Brochure downloaded from the website to find out what optional tours would be available at each stop and already knew what I wanted when we arrived in Fairbanks. Our tour director arranged everything we wanted. We were easily able to upgrade to the Tundra Wilderness Tour also - our tour director was able to charge our credit card for anything extra that we booked.

I actually dispute the charge through my AMEX and let them figure it out. Saves me time and hassle.
