No way. I would wait until you can find a more affordable option down the road.
-
You have to take reviews for what they are worth. Many of the complaints some seem to obsess over really wouldn't be a blip on the radar for me.
-
Up front....budgeting made easy.
-
Yes....you can always find places. I always scope out a shady spot with a chair so I can read overlooking the water. It is my peaceful place.
-
From my experience you would normally have to pay the other portion of the fare including taxes but not the port fees.
-
In the end, they said the price was a mistake, but they weren't going to honor that price, because it was a mistake.
That is a common clause for any company that advertises.
-
Just more people looking for an 'outrage'. Big deal.

..........

Yes....the promotions end frequently but recently the current renewal offerings have stayed pretty much the same with some tweaking.
-
The price drops are BX generally and do not qualify for UBP /SDP perks, this is non beneficial to those who do utilise the UBP as drinks are expensive
yup.....only the GTY rates are down which do not include any perks. They are dropping prices specifically in a way to draw customers who may not care about beverage or dining packages.

That image has nothing to do with the event.

I probably would for $30. It is pretty nice to be closer to the common areas that you spends lots of time in. Plus you will have a great view from the balcony at that level.
-
No way I would cancel, that just goes against all common sense.
-
Yes....it is always possibly when you book a cabin where all occupancy isn't utilized.
-
then don't charge me for the day if i can't get started early.
lol.
-
Stop reading reviews....many live just to complain about things.

You cannot "fall" overboard. I really HATE when this is written, as it scares the heck out of people and probably keeps them from cruising.
Very true. Some people I have spoke with who have never cruised really think you can just 'fall' if you are not careful. I usually take the time to explain how that is simply impossible and usually requires intent.

Leaving a tip in place for bad service only legitimizes bad service and it will continue.
Exactly.
-
I would have requested that the tip for the waiter be removed. If GS would not just do it for one, than I would remove them all and see how fast they will work with you. It's not your problem to fight for what is right. You had poor service in an industry that is supposed to cater to you. You are the customer.
Exactly. Some forget that. I am pretty dang generous when it comes to tipping, on a ship or off, but to get that generosity the server has to hold up their end of the bargain.
I am generous but I also am not afraid to hold those who don't perform accountable. That is the only way the system can work, rewarding poor service simply passes the poor service to the next customer.
-
If we can't address poor service like the entire gratuity system is based on then we might as well call it a fee and you can just be stuck with ever increasing poor service.
-
I would have cancelled the auto tip. The very system they created means they share alike on the good and bad as a team. If one fails to provide adequate service then everyone suffers which usually means there is an incentive to get the problem fixed for the next guest.
If we no longer tip to reward proper service we are doing ourselves a disservice and defeating the purpose and are just paying a fee.
It would be nice to be able to single out the individual but that is not the system they have created.
-
It would depend on the price difference. If it wasn't much I would do it but I really think you need a longer cruise with several sea days to really see the value. I just wouldn't spend much time on it with a short cruise.

All positive for me. No more days where a late breakfast leads to a late lunch meaning I'm not hungry for early dining. Also, no early breakfast, early lunch leaving me starving by late dining.
I eat when I am hungry instead of when they assign me.
The second plus is not dining with strangers and ruining a nice meal with an obligation to make forced small talk.
-
It has never mattered to me. My choice of cabin is more dependent on how convenient it is to the common areas of the ship that are important to me.
