Category matters, not deck #. An 8C is a specific balcony category and that is what you must compare to. Just use the fare viewer site and select the lowest price for rate where you choose your own room, you will then see the price of any available 8C's.

You can still use the credit as the S&S bill does not total to the end. If you spend $25 at the bar on day 1 and the credit is added on day 2 it still comes out to $0.

Thanks,
It's not the greatest price at all. It's 50 something a night for an inside. It's the start of summer so I assume it's high for that reason, and my friend won a spot on the poker tournament which is the only reason we are going that week, but maybe that's why it's higher than usual.
I've always wanted to go on the dream, I'm not crazy about the price though ... I guess I'm just gonna have to deal with the high price :(
Yeah...just looked at the price. Nothing to be excited about there, Carnival is showing $579/$82nt for a GTY inside before taxes and such. It must be selling pretty good even though it is early in the summer season.

Are points earned automatically or is it something I need to sign up for on the website?
With Verizon they are earned automatically. Some CC's, such as Citibank, offer the same thing with their rewards programs.
-
No way to know, however if it is a good price now ($40ish/nt for inside) then it is more than likely to go up before it comes down anymore.
-
Which ever offers closest to the middle or aft.
-
I apologize if this has already been explained, but how does this work? I have Verizon and don't want to miss out on any cruise perk it might get for me! :p
Simply a money saver. A $100 gift card is $90+points. I paid for the cruise, tips, Cheers and my other expenses all with gift cards on this past cruise meaning I saved 10% across the board.

One is elegant night, the other isn't.
-
Our last cruise was $44/nt for an interior and I thought it was a really great price, normally it would be in the $50 range.

They are rolling out new stuff that will be better but at the end of the day you are using a satellite system in the middle of the ocean....it will never be cheap or blazing fast.
-
Agreed with you about other lines not really being competitive and I certainly don't know where all these people find these deals. I know sometimes RCI or NCL have specials which put them close but it's not all the time and I just book when I'm ready and find when and where I'm going to go.
It's fantasy. The just use the false statement to bolster their rant. Acknowledging Carnival has the best price by far generally chips away at the basis for their complaints.
-
Nothing wrong with the menu unless you are just looking for a reason to complain.
-
Online check-in status has nothing to do with what or when a cabin is assigned.
-
I loved the new menu, tried it last week.
-
Princess has no limit, no everyone in the cabin has to buy it and it includes Espresso coffee drinks, bottled water and sodas. They do not seem as paranoid as Carnival even though they are part of the same holding company
They have a different customer base which will have entirely different profit models.
-
Simple....a good number would share it because most wont use 2/3rds of the plan allotment on their own. I guarantee the profit numbers are based on the average and not everyone drinking 15, that is probably where it hit the minimum margin.

Early saver. Just be ready to commit as there are little to no changes allowed.

Many of the normal outlet extenders won't work. The ships usually only have one plug on the dresser and it is usually recessed.
As for the tags....I always do the clear packing tape and punch a hole. Very sturdy and costs pennies.

A single sofabed is 32"x78". The standard twin beds are 33"x78". So the sofa is just as long as the regular beds, and only 1 inch more narrow. Upper bunk is 33"x78". Whether the sofabed is made up into a bed or not will have no impact on how cramped the room is. It is not a pullout. In fact, I think that the upper bunk being down makes the room FEEL more cramped, so it would be better to use the sofa for a bed.
Some people will still use the sofa as a bed for the 3rd person but ask the steward to put it back as a sofa during the day, which most of them will not automatically do. But that means that whoever is sleeping in that sofa has nowhere to nap during the day, which may or may not matter to that person.
Opinions vary I guess. I have been in plenty of rooms where the sofa was not as long as a traditional bed. As for cramped, when I get up in the morning and have no where to sit other than the bed, to me that is cramped. I am not going to sit on the edge of the bed for an hour trying to enjoy my morning coffee while I watch the news until my teen finally wakes up. He gets the pulman, I can sit on the couch when I wake up.

LOL....slots not "paying" and you can't find a garbage can in a tiny ships cabin? Wow.
There was a time when I actually worried about negative reviews. I finally realized some people just cannot be made happy and if they appear to pick at the small things you know where the problem lies.
-
These things are listed for years. It is not just everyday there are people interested in buying a cruise ship.
-
As above, game of chance. There is no skill that can beat the game. I watched it in the area for hours on the last cruise and saw one winner. It probably makes several hundred per hour, constant stream of people.
-
It certainly was not Rock Lobster in the MDR as of last week. Very good.

10am will be the last call for passengers with the last debarking tags and it will be virtually empty by that point. 8:15 was when the first group with priority flights got off Sunday.
Gift cards are on Verizon RIGHT NOW!
