How do you get to this secret spot on the Glory? Sailing next February and would like to check it out. Thanks.
I believe they are on the 6th, 7th and 10th deck. Just walk all of the way forward and when you get to the end of the hallway look toward the outside of the ship there is a door set back there that goes out to them. They are locked sometimes though. Great view anytime not just sail away or arrival.

Have done this on the Glory a few times. Pulling out of Norfolk and pulling into and out of Nassau and Freeport. Usually not many people up there. Saw flying fish as we were leaving Freeport and also the pilot jumping from the ship to the pilot boat after we left.

Our daughter has done the Circle C program twice and has had a good time both times. In this program they are allowed to sign themselves out if they do not want to do the scheduled activity. Which she did but was nearly always hanging out with the others from the group that didn't want to participate either. I am usually wandering the ship and I would see her many times and she did not even know that I was there. They do have quite a few activities that they all did. She still talks, texts, some of them from both times.
You should really try to get them there on the first night for orientation as that is where they meet and figure out who they want to hang out with. Not saying they can't make friends the next day it's more of a first impression kinda thing.
We got her a soda card so she could have a drink when she wanted. We also put cash on her S-S card so that she could play video games. By putting cash on it it limits what she can spend and can't just run up the card in the arcade. Have read horror stories about this!! She knew her budget for the week and was very aware of her spending per day.
Hope some of this helps you.
I posted the Circle C activities for the week awhile back. Here is a link to it. Scroll down to #8

Never heard of a yearly policy where do you get info on that?

Enjoying the review. I agree with you for the price Carnival works for me. Can't see spending twice the money or more to go to the same places on another line.

We stayed in the sister room to that one on the Glory 2473 Loved all of the extra space. Also had 2 windows. Some vibrations from the propeller but not enough to bother us.
We recently booked 2 rooms on the Splendor and picked 2470 and 2473 just for the extra space. Really surprised that they are only 2 person rooms.

Been on her 3 times and have enjoyed all 3 cruises. One them was the hurricane Sandy cruise but we still had fun.

If you search Junkanoo Beach Nassau on Google Earth you will see where it is in relation to the ships. It's an easy walk to get there.
Just keep following the road past the Straw Market and Senor Frogs. Do step into Senor Frogs just to check out the decor though. Or have a drink.

Did the Paradise Cove Dead Man's Reef trip last October in Freeport. Saw lots of fish, coral, turtle, and a couple of rays. You have to swim out quite a ways to get there but it is well worth it. People there were very friendly and helpful too.

I wouldn't even tell them that you had trip insurance and tell them that they had to reimburse you the full amount or the trip if you can't go.

We're headed to Jack's Shack this time around. A few years ago, we spent most of the day at margaritaville...fun, but pricey drinks. Probably will visit the conch graveyard before the day is out.
Freeport, we booked on our own with Paradise Cove...planning to do some snorkeling at deadman's Reef.
Just think, we'll be cruising at this time next Sunday! Woohoo!
Have done the snorkel trip at Dead Mans Reef it is a nice place. You will enjoy it.

Was walking in Nassau and saw a girl that I used to work with. We sail from Norfolk and there are usually a bunch of local people on board and have known a couple people on 3 different trips that I had no idea were going on the same cruise.

489 here we were at 500 when we booked. But at least we are booked and have it to look forward to.

We stayed in room 9200 on the Glory last October. Here is a link to the pictures that I posted of it. Really loved the room. Good luck in getting it.

I believe the travel agent has to put it in for you.

Unfortunately I think it's just how our world is going these days. A lot of the younger "ME" generation thinks that they should have the right to do what they want when they want and the rules do not apply to them. You can see behavior like this in about every large city.

Another way to find your VIFP # is to do a mock booking. Click plan at the top and find a cruise. Put in an amount for the travelers and a departure port. At the bottom there is a section special rates. Check the VIFP box and it will ask you for your number. Under that it asks if you have forgotten your number. Click that and fill out the needed info that pops up and hit search and your number will come up.

We have taken bubbles on a couple of cruises for when we leave port. Everyone seems to enjoy them. I'm personally more worried about smokers flicking their ashes and butts off of their balconies than the bubbles. To get in my eyes or drink.

Hi - nice to see your screen name again. My husband and I had to switch our week our Glory October 2013 cruise but we were chatting back and forth on CC until we had to make the change. I hope you are doing well!!
I remember you. Hope all is well. We are looking at the Splendor 6 day next October.

Did they get the propulsion problems fixed with her?

We have purchased the Bottomless Bubbles package pre cruise on the Glory twice. Went to the creams coffee bar to get our stickers once on board. Call Bon Voyage. There is a cut off date before the cruise when they will stop doing it and you have to purchase it on board.

We stayed in the 6K on Glory. Loved it We left the shades open to watch the stars but kept the lights off except for the TV so we could see to move around. I posted pictures afterward.
Are we required to notify guest services if we swap rooms?

Just go to guest services and ask for a spare key. They will give you one. I usually get a soda card I know that when they scan my card when I get a soda my picture comes up on their screen..
