  1. At least this is for 2023. What about all the Jewel sailings that were cancelled in January?  Some people had already flown into Florida and had their cruises cancelled that were supposed to be sailing the next day. My back to back which was the following week was booked long in advance with great pricing. We weren’t given the choice to move to different sailings with price protection. We got FCCs and lost some money on airfare. Hey, stuff happens. At least you didn’t lose any money.
BTW, I didn’t stop cruising RCCL.  I have three more booked this year.

Dunno, the its an "option" we've toggled in our Crown and Anchor account.  If rooms aren't filled, upgrades are accommodated right before sailing.  So if, say, a Jr. Suite is available and our status allows for us to move up, then someone with an inside suite could move to our balcony and so forth.

I toggled that switch many years ago and have yet to see an upgrade. I think now that they are using the RoyalUp system where people actually pay to upgrade we will never see free ones.

our cruise was paid in full in December, but now the price is almost $1200 less than we pd! We are only 17 days from departure but think we should get FCC, on board credit or even a room upgrade from our current balcony to make up for this deficit.  Has anyone had success getting any of these things?  long time Norwegian cruisers but were not very happy abou this at all.

I have a similar situation. Last week I booked a cruise less than 60 days away so I had to pay in full when I booked. Three days later the price on my category dropped by $500.  I had a feeling that was going to happen. My booking is thru my TA so I asked them if there was anything NCL would do. I was told NCL looks at it on a case to case basis and if I qualified they would issue a FCC. I haven’t actually heard from them yet so I’m not even sure what will happen.

  4. On a recent back to back when we had to change cabins, we went and introduced ourselves to our new room steward and told him we were doing a back to back. He said he would do our cabin first so that we could access it early. When we went to our new cabin none of our stuff had been moved yet so we just went and got it ourselves.

Yes, March 27th.  I don't remember the number of Pinnacles but we met a "P" couple who chose to spend time in the D lounge and they commented on the relative emptiness in the CL.

We were on the Anthem the 20th and the 27th. When we went in the week of the 20th in the evening there were people in there and all the window tables were full, but I wouldn’t say it was crowded. I think it was announced there were maybe 100 D+ that week so I could see how it could get overcrowded really quickly. We didn’t go in the following week, so not sure if it was busy. I personally don’t like how far away it is from Coastal, so I don’t spend much time there on the Anthem when we are in a suite.  The D+ vouchers are more than enough and I love that they can be used anywhere anytime.

  6. Not sure where you live, but there used to be a bus that went out of Braintree, MA that went to the cruise terminal in Bayonne. I’m not sure if that is still running. The train from South Station to NYC is about four hours so I’m not sure how that would work timewise. Also I tried googling bus from Boston to Bayonne and a couple of things came up, but they’re all over 5 hours.

  7. I agree, the issue is with the TA.  I had a cruise cancelled by Royal that was in a TA group. I wanted to move the funds to a future booking with the same TA and even that was a bit of a hassle. I had to get on a 3 way call with the TA and Royal and it still took a lot of time to get it accomplished.
I would try to escalate the issue with someone higher up in the travel agency.

The suite Concierge made all my reservations for me on Symphony last month.

I’m sure they can make them once the new voyage is loaded in the system which seems to be the day before, but I didn’t want to bother her so we just waited and did it ourselves. She actually offered to do it for us when we were on board, but the OP is not in a suite and I’m not sure that’s a service the Diamond Concierge would offer. The Suite Concierge emails you ahead of time, but I’ve never been emailed by a Diamond concierge.
