  1. I for one am absolutely tired of them changing things for the yacht club on a daily basis! We sailed on Seaside last June in the YC and it was FANTASTIC! Booked another one for March of 2019 and I can tell you that if I hadn't already paid in full and booked my flights I would cancel this cruise because I am sick of all the take-aways! If it was one thing ok , two thing whatever, but it seems like every other day they are taking something away! Pretty sure this will be our last MSC with that raising of prices for YC and the lessening of amenities. Sorry MSC but if you keep this up you are going to lose customers!

We just got off the Seaside on Saturday . . . and all of that appears to be fake news.  Did not experience either one of those things.  Always ordered top shelf and did not pay for the venchi chocolate martini. (??)

Apparently according to the FB poster this has started as of yesterday!

  3. One large difference between the 2 ships, is that the maître d on Divina made a pasta each meal. There is no room to do so on Seaside. You can ask for a pasta, which I did, but it took the waiters off course it took 30 minutes to be served pasta, but it was good..

Just an FYI everyday for lunch at the YC pool deck they have a made to order pasta that was ALWAYS amazing! I had it almost every day for lunch!

  4. When I was on there a few months ago We had a couple of waiters tell us they did not want to come back to the Seaside and one even said the the crew call it the MSC suicide. I think they are all over worked compared to other ships in the fleet. It also seemed that they did not care for the Maitr'd Pepe. That was just an observation of mine nothing was ever said to me about that. I did THOROUGHLY enjoy the YC on Seaside and will probably go back on it someday!

  5. You mean YC on Seaside! Do you know, for sure, that there is categorically "no more sommelier in YC"? There are 6 other ships with a YC enclave!

I believe he was referring to the Seaside YC since he stated that is the ship he was on.

  6. Ok, a thousand mea culpas ... I previously looked at the itinerary on a popular website (not MSC). It is much faster. But, I checked MSC, and sure enough, it says the ship leaves at 7.

Guess Capt. Massa's word doesn't carry much weight around here.

It just goes to show that you should take anything you learn on cruise critic with a grain of salt and always make sure you you get the right information you are looking for. Lots of people post on here and are wrong! I use it as a tool to help me but never trust anything.

  7. I think you may be mistaken on the departure time if you mean you are going in March of 2019. They leave now at 5 p.m.

We asked Capt. Marco Masso, who has been the captain a couple of times previously when the ship was leaving at 7 p.m., and he said that the reason was that there was a high percentage of Europeans on the vessel - well above the 50 percent figure. Therefore, MSC thought that many of them would fly over on the day the cruise departed, meaning that they would not get to Miami until roughly 3 p.m.

However, they are getting a higher and higher percentage of Americans cruising now, and that is the reason they will be leaving starting this fall at 5.

For the March 23.2019 cruise my departure time shows 7 Pm SO I think YOU may be mistaken!

  8. We are going March 23 in the YC on Seaside. When are you going? I know that SWA flight schedule for all of March is supposed to come out next Thursday Aug. 30th. Look into taking Southwest if it close to your home and fly into Fort Lauderdale and then Uber down to Miami! That's what we did in June for Seaside!

  9. They have crepes at the back gelato bar at the back pf the ship by the pool on 7 I believe is the deck number. Last I heard they are no longer included in the drink package unless they have changed it back again. Last I hear they were free again for YC but that may have changed again also. Things seem to change quite often.

  10.

There are plenty of those that actually do care.

Thank goodness that others who don't care about the subject of a thread don't feel the need to share their feelings on the topic - just imagine the number of times we'd be reading "I could care less!" to everything!

  11. What I read was that they are using Deck 8 for the buffet now at dinner and there is no overflow dinner in there. From what I understand they only need to use the Marketplace for dinner service when the ship is at or near capacity and that has not been the case the last couple of weeks.

  12. YES! First check in like you normally would. The go directly to the far right where the port supervisors counter is, basically at the very end of the check in counter. FYI the best way to do this is get on the first disney cruiseline bus from the airport because it is the first people allowed into the port! We upgrade 2 years ago from a family balcony cabin to a 1 bed conciere on a 7 night Fantasy cruise for only $1000!!!!!
