My advice is that if you want a taxi at 7 or 7;30 is to prearrange. I have been out there early and while there were taxis they had been prearranged. I had arranged the taxis one sailing for a couple of friends  who were going to mass and the other time for my friend  who had a 7:30 tee time at Port Royal. After 8 is when taxis show up in large numbers. YMMV.

@Charles4515 how does one go about prearranging a taxi? (Hubby will also have an early tee time)

$25 but that's only if you bring the bottle with you to dinner. Your cabin steward can provide you with a bottle opener and appropriate glasses for you to enjoy in your room. You can fill your glass and bring that with you into the dining room, theater, where ever you wish. When we bring a smaller cabin wine glass into the dining room, the somellier usually swaps that glass out for one of the Reidel glasses.

So just to make sure I understand, If you bring bottle of wine on board and drink it in your room/balcony there is no fee, the fee is only charged if you bring bottle to dining room. Is this correct?

No, your check in and embarkation closed at 3 PM.

Your sailing time was at 5PM or later.

This will be my last post to this subject and I am only answering because I feel as though am being challenged. Here was my itinerary, and I believe that 15:00 is 3pm

If 3:00 is departure time, the latest check-in time is 1:00.  That is when check-in counters close.

I get where you are coming from, however when I was on the Meraviglia my assigned boarding was 2:30 even though I boarded earlier bc I was in YC. I guess I will have to respectively disagree, but I wouldn't want the OP to miss the ship so im glad he is looking for another flight to eliminate any issues.

Maybe this would be better if it were moved to the east coast departures board.

  5. Does your flight arrive in LGA at 11am? If so then you should have no problem getting to the pier onetime. It has been reported that boarding time assigned by MSC isnt really followed. LGA is a short distance to the pier so even with traffic you should be there  well before 3pm

By NYC standard, that's actually cheap.

Also includes NYC parking and sales taxes of 10.375% non-manhattan and 18.375% in Manhattan

I was actually answering a question, not commenting on the amount. I personally do not think that it is that expensive and have paid to park there twice. Now if You want expensive, look at parking at JFK for a week without prebooking. Drive up rate is $70-80 per day! Thats expensive.

  7. Thank you for your very well written and enjoyable recap of your daily happenings on your vacation. It is fun following along with you. Captain Tuvo (AKA Captain ByeBye) was a Princess Cruises favorite and very personable and visible throughout the passenger desks. Can I ask you to please describe how and where you scan your card at the elevator banks to make them go express to your YC floor. Thanks

  8. Slightly off the OP's topic but another YC question, Are the crepes and ice cream and the coffee at Jean-Philippe included with YC or is it a separate charge? Trying to figure out where to get my early morning coffee. (I am booked in the YC on the Meraviglia) Thank you.

Yes almond milk and oat milk regular milk is available. What was not available is half and half. Steamed milk for cappuccino and lattes is available. Almost all the bars have espresso machines and can make coffee drinks. I had iced cafe latte with Baileys added yummy!

Are the coffee's at the bars  you mentioned included for YC or do you need to pay per coffee?

  10. @Essiesmom Would they allow me to permanently switch the second  passengers from each cabin and therefore eliminating the need for second key or bracelet ?  I just booked this way in oder to get the discount upfront as we were in final payment period and didn't want obc for my adult children when they applied for status match which we already have.

  11. I have done  this on other cruise lines in the past ,but does anyone know if it is possible to switch cabin mates once on board MSC? Currently booked in 2 YC cabins and would like to swap second passenger with another family member in the cabin next door.

  12. Hi, I was wondering if you can tell me if you need to wear the  yacht club wrist band to get into your room or do they also give you a key card? And also if if know if you can get an extra key card for your childrens room next door? Thank you
