Paying the gratuities sounds like a good use for the amount I have left. Can I do that within the booking on Princess.com or do I need to call my CVP or Princess to do this?

Sailing soon and I have a small amount of FCC"s left over that expire in December. I was wondering if is there anything that I can purchase with them (for use onboard) for my sailing to use them up?

@geoherbIf you get a chance, can you tell us how the shuttle to the port was in more detail as I have family member doing that next month and would like to tell them what to expect and where to go . Thank you in advance. Hope you have a great trip.

Oops, I didnt look at the dates prior to the last poster as it came up as a new post for me. Im surprised that they didnt start a new thread instead of posting on one that was 2 years old to begin with. Im sorry if my post bothered you, I was trying to be helpful. Hopefully that poster or someone else will benefit from my answer anyway. BTW your response is the reason that I dont post very often even though I joined CC 15 years ago and have over 50 cruise and a vast amount of cruising knowledge to share. Was it really necessary to point out that I answered a post from 2 years ago?Who benefited from that other than making me feel stupid? Maybe next time you will think twice about what you post. @mthomp5Unless things change again, there is no need to worry about seats in your muster stations. You only need to go there to check in with your medallion with a crew member stationed at entrance and then watch the video either on your mobile device or the stateroom tv.

You can also search Labq.com for locations in NYC. They are located throughout Manhattan (on various street corners with approx locations-due to parking availability for their trucks, listed on their website) and they take insurance. Just be sure you are using a legitimate location for testing like LabQ in NYC before giving out your insurance information. There are other legit companies as well but family members have used them in the past with no issues.

Can someone tell me how long after you call room service to exchange your mini bar set up for the 2 coffee packages before you can use it? And also is there a way to verify that the medallion has been updated for the change and how many coffees you have left other than asking when you place an order at the counter?

I can only speak for myself, but my issue is that the only testing near me that I can schedule is either from Walgreens or CVs and neither one of those offer an antigen test. I have the original documented PCR test from a couple of weeks ago and I have already done the at home antigen test (non monitored) which is negative, so I was trying to figure out the easiest way to board the ship. I do not want to go the EMed route if it is not necessary nor search for a location near the departure port to have the rapid test monitored and have to pay out of pocket for a family of 4 (we all were positive and now negative) if Princess will accept the original PCR results at the pier. I am planning on taking a PCR test prior to sailing (along with my family) and hope that we are negative but I would like to have a plan B just in case.

Thank you for your responses which are very helpful but my concern (and I think the OP's as well) isnt with the airline policies and quarantine but those strictly of Princess Cruises in regard to boarding the ship ( in my case the US).

@Cruise Raider and @Miss Picante When are you sailing and from what departure port? If you remember can you come back and post what your experience was like. I unfortunately am in the same situation as both of you so I would appreciate the first hand knowledge. (edit: just noticed from first post that Miss Picante is sailing in July )

@caribillIs this your opinion or do you know this to be a fact? Princess states "OR" but doesn't say "BOTH". Not trying to be argumentative, I am trying to follow the actual wording provided on Princess FAQ

Sorry for the confusion but I was looking at the current requirement (that you included in your post above) for Princess and was trying to see if the OP could possibly use "one OR the other" as proof of recovery incase they continue to test positive. It is much easier to show proof of a positive test ( for example the original positive PCR test from CVS or Walgreens) than to have to go to your physician and obtain a letter of recovery. Does anyone know if this is acceptable?

Couldn't you have just used the positive test result from the lab without getting letter from a doctor? Doesn't the above state one "OR" the other ? I am confused why someone would need this letter if you have the original positive test?

@MsSoCalCruiserIf you can't find "blue" Gatorade packets try MioFit drops (make sure it says" MioFit"-for the needed electrolytes). They are basically the same thing but in a liquid form and they come in a Blue Raspberry flavor. All you need to do is add a couple of drops into a bottle of water and you are good to go. They sell them in most supermarkets, Target and Walmart stores.
