We have had this discussion. We were quoted a higher price then you. So no, in our experience, the taxi was much higher than the ferry.
People should know there is more than one option. Quite a few YouTube videos and online travel blogs agree with me.
We are a family of 7, were always charged $5 each, never any waiting. Did you offer to share the taxi? Taxi is definitely faster and there is no walking, water taxi is good if you aren’t in a hurry and don’t mind walking, we wanted to get to Atlantis asap and grab loungers/lockers.

In the end it's their fault, no matter the reason. They took a non-RC excursion and knew the risks.
How the heck do you know this? They could’ve gotten lost, they could’ve had an injury and went to an urgent care, not all pier runners (and I’d say very few) ae due to outside excursions.

I was actually wondering this for myself. I don't drink, but do enjoy a virgin pina colada. Buying the drinks package is a lot of money for virgin drinks, when all I really drink is Diet Coke. I think Norwegian won't let only one person in a cabin get a drinks package, which kind of sucks when only one is a drinker.
It’s $21 a day, his many frozen drinks and sodas do you drink?

Ferry theh walk.
Same price as land taxi, but you have to wait for it to fill. A taxi takes you right to Atlantis.

Two bedroom suites tend to be a lot more than connecting balconies (we have 5 kids). There are ships with cabins for 5, you need to call and book early. Maybe use a TA?
-
I think they would need to use the nursery if under 3. Some ships have small splash areas for diapered kids (no pools) some don’t.

My first thought was, “we’re going to lose our seats if we have to go back to the room to get her passport,” Lol. We only walk around the ship with our phones, Seapasses and tip money.
I am sure that I was more irritated than her. She’s a senior in college, so is probably carded on a weekly basis between bars, football tailgates, etc. It was just my gut reaction to my child’s honesty being questioned. And, again I’m not upset, I understand there may have been a reason, just passing on my experience.
My 27 year old looks young, she was recently asked to leave a bar because they insisted her ID was fake (it wasn’t). She was with her 4 younger siblings.

You may find them during the school year also. My Feb. 18th cruise on Panorama was chock full of kids
That’s a week long winter break for many in the northeast.

It's not the kids that bother me as much as the parents that let their kids run wild and create havoc in hallways at night and clog up all the hot tubs. No offense intended, I raised mine to be respectful... I guess times have changed.

Schools in our NJ district (close to manhattan) starts 9/6.

I’m guessing there were flight delays here in the nyc area, heave rain and winds all day yesterday.

You'll most likely be ok with a minivan.
In manhattan you get dinged even for small SUV’s, I always have to pay the large vehicle surcharge on my odyssey, but I’d be happy not to!
-
Just booked a Boston hotel for next month, $450 a night, $30 for parking but the website said that’s for cars and that larger vehicles will have a surcharge (I drive a minivan).

That seems really cheap for the Land's End excursion. I'm going to guess, since it says "from $45" that it's after the discount.
Regarding the Connell Lake, that is before the discount.
I think it’s that pesky word FROM meaning it will cost $45 or more. They can legally charge anything.

That would be a day pass on the Joy. I would be shocked if it's less than $300 for a 7-day.
Yes, I agree,definitely closer to $300 than $100.

Depends on the ship, date of sailing, length of cruise, it’s fluid.

The couch is turned into a bed & left as a bed for the duration of the cruise. As the stewards now only do one visit per day the bed cannot be changed.
While it should be easy for them to do themselves, folks have reported that the stewards will put up and down the pullmans, so I suspect they will do the sofa bed if asked.
-
The sofa bed is really just a twin with a pillow back, I can’t remember if you pull the bed away from the wall or just remove the pillow, but you don’t need the steward to do anything.
-
You go to guest services and get additional keys, there will be many on the same line for the same reason.

@mjkacmom do you recall where the entrance to splash academy was? Or mind sharing what room number you had? Looking at booking a room on deck 12 and trying to figure out the best option with splash academy being right there. Thanks in advance!
It was probably 2 or 3 off the hallway from the kids club, not an issue. There were tons of kids onboard since it coincided with a local school holiday. I haas 2 who utilized the teen club, and 3 who would’ve been in the 10 - 12 group but they didn’t like it (none of my kids every liked any tween club).

This was exactly what I needed.. I expect they will go with 2 cabins…. Thank you so much
Yes, really the only difference between a balcony and club balcony suite is a tiny bit more room (sometimes just bathroom) and perks like a free $30 laundry bag, some snacks left in a the cabin a few times, and being able to book dining and shows a few days early. Four adults would be TIGHT (on our last cruise my 14, 14, 16 and 19 year olds shared and it was a bit like camping). Areal suite would be much larger but considerably more expensive.
