My recommendation would be to enjoy having the ship to yourself during the time that only the B2B folks are on board. Grab some Funfetti cheesecake from the lido buffet. Enjoy a hot tub to yourself. Take pictures around the ship with nobody else in your shots.

Laundry can wait until the first or second night of the new cruise -- you'll still have the laundry room to yourself as none of the new folks who just boarded will be doing laundry on the first or second night.

This is true!  The hot tub by ourselves sounds pretty good.  lol

  2. Thank you!

We have 15 (7 cabins) of us doing a btb, so it’s going to be quite an adventure. Lol

Luckily we all have the same cabin for both legs. We plan on doing laundry at the start at the second leg, so it’s good to know that we have a bit of time before everyone gets on!

  3. Hi everyone!

I'm taking my first back to back in a couple weeks and just finished my check-in for the first leg of my cruise.  Will I need to check-in again z(in a week) for the 2nd leg of my cruse?  I assume so since it's two different confirmation numbers and whatnot - just wasn't sure since everything else remains the same.

    Thanks!

  4. We live in New York and went on the Pride out of Baltimore scheduled to go to the Eastern Caribbean.  Hurricane Matthew was making his way through the Caribbean, so they changed our itinerary to where else......NEW YORK - just where we came from  😂

We live near Buffalo, so it was fun to spend 2 days in NYC.

About half the ship decided to just get off in New York, so after that we did circles in the Atlantic for the rest of the time.  It probably was one of the best cruises we were on.  There was more staff than passengers.

Grand cayman still has a vaccinated requirement. I can sail but not get off the ship in that port per grand Cayman. Not me personally, I mean general requirement. Dont book grand Cayman if not vaccinated. Or bermuda or Canada.

I saw some worried that some of the exceptions are plain on ccl.

I'd book, just getting rid of pre testing ...I'm in. Looking for something after next march. Need a deals for everyone kind of thread, not just for casino deals. Bring on the deals.

I read that requirement about Grand Cayman is being lifted August 24th.

  6. Same exact thing happened to me. I booked southwest flights in October for our April MG cruise. At first, southwest canceled our outgoing flight and never notified me. It was only discovered by me because as luck would have it, my sister and brother in law decided to come in the cruise with us and I was looking at flights (and didn’t see mine listed). Checked my app, and sure enough - it was canceled without putting us (there are 4 of us) on another flight. I called Southwest and got on a different flight luckily (although first flight was from buf to mco non-stop), and now it was a 4 hour layover in Chicago. Ugh.

Two days later, they did the exact same thing to me on my return flight. Canceled and did not let me know. Of course, now I was checking my app constantly anyway, so I knew - okay because I checked. By now with all the changes, and because it was spring break, there were no return flights until the next day (and luckily at that).

I bet I called Southwest no less than 5 times (and held for two hours each time) and sent nasty emails. They ended up providing me with  4 $300 LUV vouchers as compensation for my aggravation.

it’s worth it to call them (and email) and voice your frustration.

  7. We live in NY and booked the Pride out of Baltimore during hurricane season on the Eastern itinerary a few years back.

Hurricane Matthew decided we needed to change that up and we ended up with a Port of call in NYC. Then we cruised in circles in the Atlantic for 3 days. Nearly 700 people debarked in NYC. We then had the ship to ourselves.

To sum things up, we drove from NY to Baltimore, and cruised back to NY.

It ended up being my one of my favorite cruises. 🤣

We cruise for the ships I guess. Lol

  8. I booked my southwest flights in October for my cruise in April. Non stop going down and back - decent enough price.

Just last week southwest changed both my flights. I now have a 4 hour layover in Chicago on my flight going down, and now my flight coming home had to be ch aged to the next day as the flight times were too early.

it’s hit & miss in southwest. Not happy with them this time.

  9. We were just there in April, and I agree, there is a good mixture of sun and shade. There are lots of trees for shade, and there are also some chairs under pavilions for even more shade.

I'm not sure of the cost of a clam rental, but there was many available to rent when we were there.

Yes you can see the ship from the beach.

We pretty much snorkeled (brought our own) and floated (brought our own), and it was a fantastic day!

  10. This would be a private excursion think it's like 4 or 5 hrs...

What do you suggest to do in Amber Cove? We were thinking the water fall thing but not to sure if we want to that... also thinking some sort of atv or buggy tour that also stops at water we can cool off in

Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app

We were on the Conquest in March and in Amber Cove did the mega truck (wild truck) excursion. It's a bumpy ride, but oh so much fun! The excursion stops at a cigar place, they offer coke (and rum and coke, lol) on the ride, and it stops at a place called Coconut Cove where there is a beach, and has an all inclusive lunch buffet. Awesome excursion!

  11. We were on this ship with you. We had a snorkeling excursion planned in Grand Turk, but that got canceled. We ended up booking the monster truck excursion in Amber Cove instead. It was awesome!

Had a really wonderful cruise. Tuesday nights seas were not real nice. Hubby did the same thing as yours, was going to watch the movie, but the ship was rocking so bad, he came back and went to bed. Said the barf bags were put out at the elevators.

I was going to book the waterfalls, but now seeing how it's more of jumping, I'm glad I didn't. For some reason, I thought you slid down them. Must have seen a picture before.

Looks like you all had a great time, just like we did :)

  12. Same here! CVS had their 90% off in September for their leftover summer things. I bought 4 for about $1.50 each, brought them to HMC, blew them up there on the beach. I found a few kids that we gave them to when we left.

That's what I'm planning on doing. No way am I bringing them back on the ship!

  13. Back in 2008 we rented a wheelchair for my mom on our Freedom cruise. We only had to pay a small deposit (I think like $50) and we got that back after we returned the wheelchair. It was nice because we kept the wheelchair in her cabin all week and used it when we went to the port and when she felt she needed it. I'm not sure how much Carnival changed all that, but hopefully that would still be an option.
